Chapter 20 - Chapter 7 Combat

Chi pushes through the barrier, his fiery form tempered slightly in the vacuum of space, but the heat he radiates is enough to be felt almost a mile away.

"Finally, now then Eta." He points the black sword at her. "I shall return this universe to nothingness."

Eta pulls out the orb of space and teleports away. She finds herself back at her home on the pillar.

"How did he enter? Is destroying the universe not evil?" She paces about the sunny pillar, keeping an eye on Chi through the orb. He travels extremely fast to the closest galaxy from the dead zone. "The law must be based on the individual. He doesn't believe it is evil so he isn't evil to the barrier I guess. What do I do now? If that is how specific the laws have to be, I need information on Chi to write him out of the universe."

Eta stops and changes her form to that of her natural form but larger. Like that of a giant, her spider legs reach down to the sea over a mile down and her head touches the clouds. She armors herself in that of ice and flowing water which shall not freeze in the vacuum of space. Finally, she pulls out the orb of space, now enlarged to fit her hands, and her brush much the same. Eta will fight the only way she knows how, using space and creation offensively.

The pillar so small next to her, but Eta calls forth the painting of her family's last day. "This may be my last day of thought, I may be joining you three soon." It floats back down to the pillar, safely.

She appears just ahead of Chi, right before he reaches the galaxy.

"You'll fight, how cute." Chi stabs the sword into space itself, slicing a line of Void. "You can't possibly think this will end any other way than your death."

Eta does not say a word as she paints out many icy planets and sends them careening to Chi. He braces himself, allowing his flames to flare out massively. Despite the planets far eclipsing him in size, those flames consume each one in a fiery grave. One being cut into two by the sword, it's halves fading out of existence.

"No follow up Eta, no feint, no attack during my block? You are too peaceful it seems." His flames flaring brightly as he charges through space.

Eta teleports behind him, trying another icy planet. Again, the flames consume it entirely, the water and cold doing little to tame the fire that is Chi.

Eta backs up some, painting in a great star of white. She crafts it to the absolute limit of heat, the star far eclipses that of even a solar system. The pure white star engulfs Chi in but a moment.

"Collapse." Eta holds out the brush to the star as its mass violently starts to condense towards the center.

Before it can finish it's sudden transition to that of a massive black hole, the star stops. Then, it splits in two as each half collapse to nothing.

Chi directly in the middle of the two vanishing halves, the sword held high. "You try fire against one made of fire. Hilarious. You really are just throwing things at me at this point." His form grows even brighter, the heat melting Eta's ice armor.

Chi brings back his hand as his own flames start to gather. The heat feeling just as hot as the star, yet so much more condensed. He launches the fireball at Eta, it travels faster than she can even see and collides with her left shoulder. Instantly, it is burned off, cauterized before even a drop of blood can be sent out.

Eta's arm regenerates fast, but she falls backwards clutching her new arm.

"You're a god with complete control over your universe, yet your power is barely greater than a human mage. It's funny your first encounter with another god shall be your end." Chi slowly closes the gap.

"Why, why are you doing this? Can I at least know before the end?"

He stops and places the sword directly against his chest. "Your universe is the birth place of nothingness, the Void wants it back, that is the only reason."

Chi brings the the sword back and slams it forward, impaling Eta straight through. But rather than her being reduced to nothing as it had been doing. The sword melts into Eta, settling on her skin in a light coating. Eta quickly uses the orb to teleport far away once more as Chi is frozen in confusion.

She reappears back at the pillar, having shrunk down back to her normal size. "How am I alive?" She touches the coating of the void that now resides on her chest. It seems warm, almost as if it is a blanket. "No, I can't worry about this now. How do I defeat him? He outclasses me in experience, power, and strategy. I have to make a law."

She pulls out the scroll and sets it down. "It has to be something that will only apply to him and that is specific enough to work no matter what. What did he say, something like he was a god. I can use that maybe."

Eta starts to write on the ground, checking her ideas against themselves in though experiments. The first being, 'Gods cannot injure one another.' She quickly erases it as it leaves for Chi to just destroy the universe. She goes through many different combinations of words until she writes, 'Those of godly powers, including in those which are supernatural and above that of mortal life, may not fight one another without agreeance lest their powers be forcibly removed for all eternity.'

"Is this full proof? Godly powers should include what he is and if not, he is obviously above mortal life. It should work. Please work." Eta writes it in the scroll and once again, teleports in front of Chi.

He remains in the exact same space, processing what had happened with the pitch black blade.

"You, you're a partial Void. That's the only explanation." Chi looks back to Eta. "Destroy your scroll and serve your true master Eta." He reaches out to her, the black coating pulling back.

The melted darkness has chosen a new owner. Upon seeing such, Chi throws a fireball at Eta, one that eclipses her entire body. The darkness reaches out to touch the fireball mid-space as it vanishes into nothingness as the blade would do.

Chi's flames darken rapidly. He looks down as his form grows smaller and smaller. The shackles now floating in space as he can't fill them with flames. "What did you do to me?"

"Upon attacking me, you are to lose all your powers for all eternity, you will be the mortal version of yourself." Eta floats back slightly.

He looks back to her with a smile, "One day, the Void will claim this place. Even when I'm forgotten, this place will be even more so." Chi continues to darken and shrink.

Finally, after just a few moments, Chi returns to his first ever form. A small flame on that of a branch of wood. The flame being frozen over almost instantly in the vacuum of space and the branch freezing.
