After a rough night, Luan left his room with a neutral expression on his face. He had barely slept at all because he was too busy coming up with all kinds of strategies. But in the end, most were rather unrealistic because of his subordinate's limited abilities. If only they could get upgraded. His life would become so much easier, but alas.

With a deep sigh, he strolled throughout the fortress; he quickly went toward the cafeteria, and after eating a large breakfast, he made his way down to the training grounds, where everyone was busily training.

The mages fell one after another like a sack of potatoes only to be healed by the healers right after—rinse and repeat. And while the foot soldiers weren't falling unconscious, they were constantly swinging their swords or dueling.

It was a hectic morning; Luan just took a seat somewhere inconspicuous and inspected them all. He wanted to learn their exact combat prowess to be able to tailor his strategies to their abilities.
