When the elevator came to a stop, the four stepped out and headed down the stairs. The air was damp and heavy — strangely quiet. No zombies were in sight.
Y/N noticed a half-open door as they descended.
Leon tried another door that led toward the sewers, but it was locked.
Leon: "Damn it. It's locked — we'll have to take the other path."
They moved toward the open passage. On the way, Y/N spotted something metallic on the ground and picked it up.
Y/N: "Uh… guys?"
Leon: "A grenade??"
Claire: "Who would leave something like that here?"
Y/N: "Well, I'll keep it for good use."
They kept walking through the narrow corridor. Metal creaks echoed from somewhere up ahead — followed by low, guttural growls.
Sherry: "W-What's that sound?!"
Leon: "It's probably just another zombie. Don't worry."
They reached a wider area underground, turning right to find the path blocked by debris. Y/N stepped forward, grunting as he shoved a heavy object out of the way, clearing their path.
Y/N: "Come on."
The three others went first. But before Y/N could follow, something dropped from above and landed right in front of him.
It was a grotesque man — mutated beyond recognition, one arm swollen with muscle and an eye bulging grotesquely from its surface.
Sherry: "Ahhhhhh!!!"
Leon: "Y/N!!"
The creature roared and grabbed Y/N, slamming him violently into the floor. The massive arm grew thicker, veins pulsing. It lifted him again.
Y/N: "No, no, no—!"
It slammed him again and again until the floor cracked and gave way beneath them, both falling onto solid concrete below.
Y/N groaned, forcing himself up despite the pain. He staggered back, clenching his fists and setting his stance.
Y/N: "Monster after monster after monster…!!!"
The creature lumbered toward him. Y/N dashed forward and punched it square in the face, stunning it briefly.
Y/N: "Can't I ever catch a break!?"
He stepped in closer and unleashed a furious combo — fists pounding against the creature's face and torso.
Up above, Leon stood watching with Claire and Sherry.
Leon: "I'll stay here with him. You and Sherry head to the parking garage and wait for us there."
Claire: "Got it. Please be careful."
Claire nodded and guided Sherry away as Leon turned his focus back to the fight.

The creature swung a massive metal pipe toward Y/N. He dove aside just in time — the impact shattered machinery nearby. The eye on the creature's arm opened, pulsating.
Y/N spotted his chance. He charged forward and landed a brutal punch right on the eye, making the monster scream and stagger back.
Before Y/N could press his advantage, the creature grabbed him again, lifting him by the neck. But suddenly — BANG!
A gunshot rang out, striking the creature's arm and forcing it to drop Y/N. Y/N glanced up to see Leon aiming from above. He smirked and waved.
Y/N pulled out the grenade he found earlier and tossed it under the creature's feet.
Y/N: "Catch this!"
He sprinted back as the grenade exploded, shaking the whole chamber. Steam hissed from the damaged pipes, filling the room in a hot white fog.
Y/N: "Great. Now I can't see a damn thing."
Through the haze, the creature emerged — growling. Y/N charged again, striking at its face and its grotesque eye whenever he could. Each hit made it stumble and howl in rage.
But navigating the steam was difficult. He turned his head, trying to locate it — and then froze as the hulking figure appeared behind him, pipe raised high.
Leon: "WATCH OUT!!"
Before the pipe could swing down, a knife flew from the steam and struck the monster's arm-eye dead center. The beast screamed, staggering backward.
Y/N spun around, raising his fists again — and saw a figure leap through the steam, landing beside him. They stood back-to-back in fighting stances.
It was a boy with black hair, a yellow tie wrapped around his forehead, and a confident smirk.
???: "You're welcome."
Y/N: "Haha, thanks for that. Name's Y/N. You?"
Kai: "Call me Kai."
The creature roared again, regaining balance. Kai drew two knives — one in each hand. He and Y/N charged forward in sync, with Leon providing cover fire from behind.
Together, they attacked — Y/N punching, Kai slashing, Leon shooting. The monster reeled under the coordinated assault, unable to defend itself.
Kai: "Left!"
Y/N: "Right!"
Y/N, Kai, and Leon (together): "GOOD NIGHT!!"
A fist, a knife, and a bullet all struck the eye at once. The creature screamed in agony, stumbling back until its heel caught the edge of the railing. With one last roar, it toppled backward into the pit below — vanishing into the darkness.
Y/N and Kai approached the edge, peering down.
Y/N: "Now that's what I call teamwork."
Moments later, Leon lowered a ladder down to them.
Leon: "Nice work!"
He helped Y/N up and high-fived him, then turned to Kai, who gave a casual thumbs-up.
Leon: "Leon Kennedy. And you are?"
Kai: "Kai. Raccoon City Police. So, did you enjoy the 'welcome party'?"
Leon rolled his eyes.
Leon: "Yeah… best first day ever."
Kai chuckled as they continued onward. In the next room, Y/N spotted a lever and pulled it. A metal platform extended across a gap, creating a path. They crossed over into a small control room.
Inside, Leon found a hip pouch.
He clipped it to his belt — knowing he'd need the extra space for ammo.
Finding nothing else, they climbed the nearby ladder.

At the top, Y/N went first, pushing open a manhole cover. One by one, they climbed out — finding themselves in the parking garage of the Raccoon City Police Station.
But before they could celebrate, the sound of a car engine roared nearby — then screeched away. They ran toward the source of the noise and found Claire on the ground, clutching her stomach in pain.
Leon: "Claire!!!"
He rushed to her side, kneeling beside her. Y/N and Kai followed.
Leon: "What happened!? Are you okay!?"
Y/N: "Where's Sherry!?"
Claire: "H-He took her… a fat man with white hair. He said he was the R.P.D. Chief…"
Kai: "Irons. That bastard!!"
Y/N: "You know him?"
Kai: "Yeah. That guy's the dirtiest, most corrupt piece of trash I've ever met!"
Leon: "Wait, impossible! He's the Chief of the police station!"
Kai: "Heh, newspapers don't always tell the truth. That bastard would sell his country for fifty bucks."
Y/N: "We need to save her!!"
He ran to the garage door, shaking and punching it in frustration — but it wouldn't budge.
Claire: "It needs a key card. Without it, we can't open it."
Before Y/N could respond, something lunged from the shadows — an infected dog tackled him to the ground, snapping its jaws inches from his face. Y/N barely held it back.
Y/N: "Get off me, you freak!!"
Leon raised his pistol — but before he could fire, a single gunshot echoed through the garage. The dog went limp and fell dead beside Y/N.
Y/N: "Huh!? Thanks, Leon—"
Leon: "That… wasn't me."
The sound of clicking heels echoed from the darkness. A woman stepped into view — elegant, composed, wearing dark glasses and a long trench coat.
The group immediately raised their weapons — Leon and Claire aimed their guns, while Kai readied his knives.
???: "Easy there. I'm not here to fight."
She walked past them, calm and confident, examining the keycard terminal beside the gate.
???: "Hmm. I'll need a card."
Leon: "Uh… excuse me?"
Kai: "Who the hell are you?"
The woman pulled out an identification badge and held it up.
???: "FBI. I'm here to find out who's responsible for all this. Now — I suggest you find a way out of the city. If you want to stay alive."
She gave Y/N a brief glance — lowering her glasses just enough to make eye contact — before turning and walking toward a nearby door.
Kai: "Hey! You can't just walk away like that!!"
The door shut behind her.
Kai: "Seriously!?"
Leon: "Weird… the FBI doesn't usually send just one agent. Especially in a situation like this."
Claire: "Maybe her team's already gone."
Y/N: "Either way — let's follow her. She might be our only lead to the exit."
They all nodded, regrouped, and headed in the same direction the mysterious woman had gone.
