A glance in a mirror confirms his nightmare: he is now Raiden Mei, in the weeks leading up to the cataclysmic Third Honkai Eruption in Nagazora City. His panic is momentarily halted by the cold, sterile interface of the "Cross-Dimensional Paradigm System." It offers no explanation for his transmigration, only a directive: simulate, adapt, survive. The system allows him to experience fully-immersive simulations of worlds and scenarios vastly different from his own—from mastering the refined sword arts of a xianxia cultivation realm to hacking neural networks in a cyberpunk dystopia, or even learning binding rituals from a gothic fantasy world. His performance in these simulations yields rewards: not just skills and knowledge, but sometimes physical or metaphysical enhancements that integrate with his/her current Honkai-afflicted body.
