Naruto Uzumaki wasn't energetic right now and for a very reasonable reason.
He, was scared and you may be asking what you mean by scared well his thoughts explain it all.

In a couple day's I've got to fight the infamous child toucher of konoha now that i think about it.
Why didn't Hiruzen kill Pedomaru i mean like he did find out that the slimy bastard was touching kids anyways.
I can ask the three tails for help.. I mean it wasn't sealed until shippuden if i remember correctly. (Thank god i was a naruto reader)
Yeah that seems cool I'm i could get a contract with one of it's little minions then I'm good.
A/N: The Three tails has the ability to create smaller parts of itself to eat anything they could even eat Guren's hard crystal's.
Also i need a way to catch Pedomaru off guard or to get away from him so i think i will learn the body flicker.
With the help of my clones I should be able to do it, I can even try to work on my elemental jutsu wind but if i do that I'm going to try and do water or fire.
Even though i don't have the affinity I can still do it. I should even try to get sakura stronger not that i like her but she's the weakest link on the team.
And its the ninja world I don't want anything unexpected to happen and we end up dead. With me changing stuff minor changes can happen....
