Chapter 1 - Chapter 1

*BANG*

Jason continued punching the thief as he rearranged his face's structure.

After he was sure he wouldn't wake up anytime soon he stood up and looked around, his kitchen was a mess.

He noticed a gun lying nearby, the thief had a gun? He didn't notice.

*drip* he looked down as something dripped on the floor.

He suddenly realized that he wasn't breathing as he collapsed to the floor and his hand instinctively shot to his chest.

His hand was dyed red.

'I should've given him the money. I'm a fool.' Jason thought as his eyes blurred.

He took his final breath as he thought, 'That's what I get for playing hero.'

He died

...…

Jason awoke, not to the stench of his blood or the light of his house's fireplace but to an empty void.

He tried to move, blink, swallow his saliva. He couldn't, his body had no weight behind it.

Was he a phantom? Maybe this is what he gets for not believing in religion.

'Where am I?' he thought, though this wasn't a 'place' it felt like the absence of everything.

[Hey you, finally awake?]

Jason looked at what he thought was the source of the voice. There stood something impossible.

He simply looked like light with eyes. Like someone copy pasted the sun into a black background.

His mind ached as he tried to comprehend what he was looking at, as he/she/it? Spoke.

[I am God. If you can recall, you died moments ago and ended up here in the Void. I am here to help you decide on your next destination]

Jason completely ignored the dead part, what he was more concerned about, 'God is here?' Jason couldn't wrap his head around it.

Why?

He wasn't worthy of God's attention, not by a long shot.

"Why?" he tried to speak, and his voice came out surprisingly.

[I simply hate a man who hasn't fulfilled his destiny]

While that sounded reassuring and benevolent, nothing was free. Jason also realized one thing – he wasn't afraid, the emotion literally didn't come.

"And the price?"

[Hah, you have nothing to pay me with, while being an insignificant creation. As you people say – I am doing this purely out of the goodness of my heart] he spoke with a snort.

Jason had no response to his mocking tone because he was right, what could someone who has everything want?

"You're too kind -" Jason spoke, trying and failing to laugh.

[I am] he spoke, and Jason promptly stopped trying to speak.

[Anyways, since I am feeling extra generous, I will grant you the opportunity to be born again!]

"…"

[You are welcome, oh and also you get 3 wishes.] I could somehow tell 'God' was smiling.

Something was definitely wrong. But then again, did it change anything?

No

'What kind of wishes?' Jason began to think strategically, he should watch his words.

[The kind I approve.]

Jason ignored the part of him reading his mind and continued thinking.

"I wish for more wishes?" Jason asked hopefully.

[Are you sure you want to risk a wish for this, while I can simply not grant it?]

No

Jason didn't have the nuts to possibly waste one wish.

"Never mind"

"For my first wish, I want to retain my memories."

[Granted]

"For my second wish, I want to start off in the world of My Hero Academia, but with the ability to go to different worlds.]

[Granted]

"For the final wish, I want the abilities and powers of Zarathos/the Ghost Rider but without the split personality and without the chance of someone stealing them from me."

Jason thought the wishes were good, the first one was a necessity. The second one was a guarantee – who knows, maybe he would go to a universe were everyone had the infinity gauntlet or were zombies. And the third one was basically unlimited power, almost no one could defeat the spirit of vengeance at its peak.

[That would be difficult, the power is meaningless, but that reality will burn from your very presence]

Jason narrowed his eyes; he would have to compromise.

"Then don't give me the full package, make it so I have to learn my power." Jason was hoping he wouldn't have to reduce it further.

[I will also make the inhabitants of that reality stronger to make up for the massive gap in your different existences]

God simply looked at him after finishing speaking.

"That's it?"

[Yes, goodbye] God spoke as Jason's soul disappeared.

....

"Let's go play Hiroshi!" a 6-year-old child spoke with a devious smile as he looked at the other boy like how a racist would look at a black man.

Jason's or now Hirashi's eyes snapped open as he shook slightly and looked at the boy with narrowed eyes.

"What do you want kid-Akira" Hiroshi answered, his new body's memories already his.

"Let's play Heros and Villains." Akira answered with a smug grin.

"You're the Villain Hiroshi."

'Fuck me' Hiroshi thought, but nodded and stood up, he would humor the child.
