They arrived mid noon, just as he had been told by Gianni on the call that very morning. They began working immediately starting with photoshoots and a few reels in his backyard. The backyard was a part of a fairy tale, with a diversity of flowers and roses that grew there with minimum attention and an L-shaped walnut bench that blended perfectly into the nature. It was a perfect place to relax after a long day and Grey found himself being attacked by nostalgic emotions of a different backyard of a different house, the one Ross had liked.
They ventured into the kitchen and after a few photos, they took a break,
'Okay!! Only a few left. Maybe we could finish the others in the living room, uhmm' Rhea hummed chewing the crunchy pepperoni pizza from Prince Street with the goey cheese.
'The best,' she moaned, rolling her eyes as the delicious flavor exploded in her mouth. Grey watched her with his usual expression , he admitted that the pizza was pretty good even though he wasn't a pizza person, being the reason why he hadn't finished the pizza last night. Percy, coming from the restroom, took another thick slice and nodded his head when the pizza melted in his mouth.
Grey seated in the leather couch, in the dining room and practicing his guitar observed the blush that crept onto Rhea 's cheeks when Percy slightly brushed past her, going to the sink. He shook his head, amused that Percy seemed to have that effect on the two important women he worked with. He could understand why though, the guy was a looker, with a boyish charm.
One thing Grey had to admit begrudgingly was that, not only was Percy, a guy he did know existed until Gianni had mentioned him, was a great photographer than Sam, his favorite. He had been perplexed when Gianni had proposed him to be that photographer but now, he saw that it was more than Gianni's sex fantasy that she had proposed him." Gianni think with her head first,"
he thought as the camera flashed. There was no cheesey poses or any acting required. Percy had never asked him to smile, one of reason why he didn't want photoshoots. One reel meant for Instagram was him sitted on the couch, just him playing the melody of his unreleased single. A very natural style, something that was not scripted but what he did oftenly. The content however was in batches, he knew that he would not be having someone or even himself photographing every single day of his week. He knew we couldn't follow through that and he didn't want someone in his house either. Gianni being the genius that she was, had proposed that the content be taken in batches and they would produce another after every two weeks.
'four o' clock, fuck 'he swore dropping into the cozy couch when they finally finished. Rhea having made sure that everything was in order and that nothing was required of her, had left thirty minutes earlier.
' Please, do send them when you've finished editing them, I need to upload one tomorrow otherwise Gianni will kill me 'she had informed Percy and had left bouncing her copper hair.
He took his guitar from the living room floor, one of his most cherished possession, not because it had been expensive but because of the person that had bestowed it to him.Almost immediately, in that moment, the nostalgia came hitting him hard, so much that he almost cried. He climbed the stairs, lost in his thought and as he stepped into his bedroom, he bumped into a hard chest, pulling him away from his wild memory.
' l am so sorry. I got lost looking for the restroom.' Percy bursted out. Grey simply nodded his head and directed him to the restroom, not giving much thought why someone would get lost in his small house.
He didn't know how or when his photographer left, because as soon as his head hit the pillow, he was fast asleep. Sleep deprivation had finally caught him, having spent the last days waking up at midnight regardless of the new sleeping pills that he was taking.
