Chapter 24 - Orleans (part 8)

[The queen of fashion at the time, Marie, and the incredibly famous musician, Mozart. Meeting these two is truly an honor, especially Mozart.]

"Oh, thank you!"

[But I like Beethoven more!]

"I take back my thanks."

It was getting dark, and everyone gathered around the campfire.

"Hey... doesn't that smoke attract enemies?" Caster Cú said.

"Actually, the enemy side already has a Ruler class, so whether there's smoke or not, they'll know where we are," Nura said, puffing on a pipe.

"That makes sense, which is why we need someone to sacrifice themselves," Chen Gong said with a smile.

Both Caster Cú and Nura backed away from the sadistic Caster, not wanting to get involved at all.

"Eat slowly, Senpai! No one's stealing your food!" Mash said, watching Gudako, who was looking quite muscular, devouring food hunted by the Servants.

Honestly, her hair right now looks a bit like someone who can transform to boost their strength.

"Mozart! Play some music for me!" Gudako asked casually, making Amadeus twitch slightly but comply.

"What kind of music would you like, my lady?"

"Um... A Musical Joke!"

His eyes twitched even more.

"Well... I'd recommend listening to something else of mine. That piece was never meant to be serious—"

"Eh? Lame! Then you're not even a fraction as good as Antonio Salieri!"

"..."

Why bring up Antonio?? What does he have to do with this??

Thinking of Antonio, he found it a bit amusing—the man who both admired and hated him, a true yandere.

"I'm a true fan of yours, Jeanne!"

"Oh, um... thank you, Your Majesty?"

"Just call me Marie! You're an absolutely stunning saint, so you don't need to call me queen."

"I'm not exactly a saint—"

"Then I'm not exactly a queen either!"

Jeanne was a bit overwhelmed by Marie's extroverted personality.

Overall... things were pretty chill, despite being in the middle of a Holy Grail War.

"Alright! Let's go fight!" Gudako stood up, making all the Servants look at her.

"Huh? Right now?" Mash and Fou looked at her with concern.

"According to Sun Tzu's art of war, we must strike at night because that's when they're busy playing games!"

"I don't recall Sun Tzu saying that," Chen Gong replied.

"Whatever, besides, nighttime is when Nura is at his strongest! So it's perfect!" Gudako pointed at Nura.

Just how much trust does she have in Nura?

"What about the plan?" Jeanne raised her hand.

"Plan?"

She then looked at all the Servants, focusing on Chen Gong.

"Lancer will be Ching Chong's arrow!"

"OI OI OI OI!! WHAT DOES THAT MEAN?! AND I'M A CASTER!" Caster Cú protested.

"Then Mash is next! She's so useless, she'd be worth more as a nuclear bomb!"

"SENPAI?!"

"And the three of you!" Gudako pointed at Jeanne, Marie, and Amadeus.

"...I don't know, just do whatever you want."

What kind of treatment is that??

"As for Nura, he'll farm materials with me! He's already max level, so he needs to ascend right now!"

Then she looked at Nura with sparkling eyes.

"Wow... I guess?" Nura scratched his head.

"What kind of half-hearted response is that?!"

Suddenly, a beeping sound came from somewhere.

"Huh?"

Everyone turned to see a strange car with the head of a beast, and then the door opened, revealing a girl who looked strikingly like a saint.

[It's Rider!!]

"What?! Why didn't you warn us earlier?! Didn't you say you could detect Servants nearby?!" Gudako shouted.

[Well... I was too busy watching Magi Mari, so I forgot.]

"Useless!"

The saintly girl closed the car door and drew her weapon.

"I've found you all."

She then looked at Jeanne, who seemed flustered.

"You look exactly like my Master, or maybe my Master looks exactly like you."

"What's this? A 'people die when they're killed' moment?" Gudako quipped, earning a glare from the saint.

"I forced myself to become a righteous saint, but in this world, I became a slave to a broken one."

"Too much talking! Nura, go!"

"Wait, Master, let's hear her out first," Nura persuaded.

"I'm too lazy to listen to the plot! Just kill her already!"

The saint's eyes twitched as she looked at Gudako.

"A broken saint..." Jeanne said, observing her.

"Yes, thanks to her, I've lost my reason and become insane."

"Nura! Throw your katana at her! I'm done listening!!!"

"Master, be patient for a bit. We need some character development for Jeanne."

"I'm not interested! She's not even my Servant, so why should I care?"

Everyone grimaced at Gudako.

"She... she has Mad Enhancement. It seems she's not just boosted in stats but also as crazy as a Berserker!" Jeanne said, sweating.

"Really? But I thought most 4-star Berserkers could still talk just fine?"

"Shut up!"

Finally, the Rider saint couldn't take it anymore.

"My name is Martha!"

"I challenge you, Jeanne! If you want to defeat my Master, you'll have to kill me first!"

"Only then will I be free."

She finished speaking, only to realize no one was in front of her except Jeanne.

"Huh?"

"Sorry... I'm currently teamed up with some pretty shameless master..."

Then, a heavy blow struck her head. She winced in pain as a shield slammed into her.

A barrage of fireballs shot straight at her.

A crystal horse kicked her square in the face.

Magic and catapults launched toward her.

Finally, Nura kicked her, sending her tumbling into a tree.

"GANGBANG HER! DON'T GIVE HER A CHANCE!!!" Gudako ordered, as the Servants continued their assault.

Never go alone, especially when the enemy outnumbers you and is utterly shameless.
