After hanging up the phone, Mia Foster was already standing beside him, asking with concern, "Felix, what happened?"
He put down the phone and sighed, "Mom has run away from home."
Mia Foster pursed her lips noncommittally and muttered to herself, "She should have dumped that scumbag long ago!"
"What did you say?" Felix frowned, but Mia Foster smiled brilliantly, "I said, your mom should have done this earlier. Even though she doesn't have a career, she's lucky to have such a capable daughter-in-law like me. So, even if she leaves that home, she wouldn't have to worry about going hungry!"
Mia Foster was rarely this playful. Felix knew she was trying to cheer him up. He reached out and pinched Mia Foster's cheek with a touch of helplessness, "Let's not be too self-praising for now. The urgent thing is to find Mom first!"
"Pfft!" Mia Foster scoffed disdainfully, "As if a grown woman like your mom could just disappear. Give me her number, and I'll call her later."
