Violet Zimmerman was about to crouch down to help him take off his shoes when Daxton Lancaster pushed her away. "Go close the door."
The drunken man had no sense of restraint, and Violet Zimmerman was pushed onto the floor. She sighed helplessly looking at the drunken man, got up to close the door.
Even if she was unhappy, Violet Zimmerman didn't want to show it. These days had been relatively stable, as long as Daxton Lancaster did not make things difficult for her, she felt grateful.
After closing the door, she returned to the sofa and again supported Daxton Lancaster's arm.
"It's late, let's rest."
"I'm not sleeping!" Daxton Lancaster pulled his arm away again and slapped the sofa beside him hard. "Sit here, I need to talk to you!"
Violet Zimmerman...
Knowing well that she couldn't escape being troubled today, she tightened the coat draped on her shoulders and sat down next to Daxton Lancaster.
