Evander talking about having a girlfriend was practically earth-shattering good news for the main branch of the Lancaster Family; of course, there were also people who weren't all that happy about it.
That person was Violet Zimmerman. Even though now that the younger uncle had a girlfriend, Daxton Lancaster wouldn't make things difficult for her anymore, for some reason she still felt a bit uncomfortable inside.
And this time, unlike before, the younger uncle didn't make a special trip behind his big brother's back to explain things to her.
Violet sighed to herself: so much for that promise of "never marrying for life"—in the end it was just the most untrustworthy lie in the world, and the ridiculous thing was that she'd actually kept it in her heart all this time.
Even though she felt really uncomfortable, Violet couldn't show it.
