At noon, during break, Mabel Quinn was looking online for recommendations from Alice Conley about which cake shop in J City had the best cake flavors. Alice Conley, somewhat of a foodie, naturally had more insight in this area.
"Didn't you say you used to work in a cake shop and you're not that interested in cakes anymore? Why are you suddenly interested in eating cake again?" Alice asked.
"It's Kyle Kinston's birthday coming up. I want to buy a nice cake for his birthday. I'm concerned that regular brand cakes wouldn't impress him, but I'm not familiar with those higher-end brands," Mabel explained.
"Kyle Kinston's birthday, huh," Alice murmured, inexplicably reminded of Dorian Howards' birthday, which was only a couple of months away.
