Her heart trembled fiercely, but on the surface, she forced herself to remain calm, "I never wanted to be with you, why would I regret it?"
"Not a single bit?" he pressed her.
She bit her lip and suddenly faced him head-on, "No, Dorian, I don't understand why you keep asking these pointless questions now."
His expression changed, and his eyes mixed with pain and gloom, "Pointless, so these questions to you are just pointless."
How laughable that he still hoped she would feel some regret, so he could have a reason to forgive everything that had happened, telling himself that it was just her childish nature, and that they could still be together.
But now, her words undoubtedly shattered his last illusions.
"Fine, fine, I really was too foolish, thinking of getting caught in your hands a third time." Dorian laughed in anger, his gaze turning icy, "Let's just pretend I said nothing. I won't have any expectations of you anymore. Whether you live or die, it's no concern of mine."
