After dinner, the group got a private room in the bar to sing.
It was after ten o'clock when they headed home.
Kay Forrest had been drinking, so Jane Quinlan had to drive.
She drove slowly, but there was no rush anyway, and Kay Forrest didn't hurry her, just contentedly watched her.
"Forrest, you really surprised me today.
You can actually play the piano."
Kay Forrest laughed: "Is that really something to make such a fuss over?"
"Hmm, I admire you even more now.
I've always thought people who could play the piano were really cool as a kid.
But I never really saw anyone learn piano when I was young.
So when you went up and played the piano, everyone was so envious."
Kay Forrest looked at her: "Learned piano to impress girls when I was young, now it suddenly gives me a sense of accomplishment."
"What?" Jane Quinlan exclaimed and turned to stare at him: "Impress girls? Get lost."
