A round-faced little girl stood beside the man. He lowered his head, instructing the girl about something. Surprise flickered in her eyes briefly, but she soon broke into a sweet smile.
She thought the girl looked familiar, as if she'd seen her somewhere before. Yet, whenever she tried to delve deeper into her memory, it felt like something obstructed her, keeping her from remembering.
She followed the man. He seemed to be a big star, with awe and respect trailing in his wake wherever he went.
Someone called his name—perhaps a friend—a strikingly beautiful woman glowing with radiance.
Yet she couldn't hear anything. Though she could see everything, her hearing seemed "blocked" by some mysterious force, shutting her off from all sound in the scene.
