As Lily Turner had expected, the call was indeed from Easton Holmes, and without a moment of hesitation, she quickly answered the phone.
"Where are you now?"
As soon as the call connected, before Lily could even open her mouth, Easton on the other end spoke first.
Hearing his words, Lily's first reaction was that Easton had gone to her parents' house looking for her, and she blurted out, "Did you go to my mom's place to find me?"
Holding her breath, she quietly waited for the person on the other end to give her an answer.
"Yes!"
Easton merely gave a light acknowledgement, followed by silence. Because they were on the phone, Lily couldn't tell if he was happy or angry, and from his voice, she couldn't discern anything.
"I just left my mom's place and am heading home now." She wasn't sure if he had seen her mom; if he had, it would be terrible since her mom would definitely mention the divorce.
