Lily Turner's eyes, as bright as the stars, were filled with pleading and expectation. Something seemed to strike a chord in Easton Holmes. He hooked her wrist, pulling her tightly into his embrace.
"I realize my tone wasn't great when I spoke earlier. I hope you don't mind." Easton had gradually calmed down and recognized that his attitude just now was inappropriate, although he still believed he hadn't said anything wrong.
Lily shook her head, "I was at fault too. I didn't consider things from your perspective earlier."
After washing her face with cold water, Lily felt much more clear-headed and calm. Earlier, she was only thinking from her own viewpoint, completely ignoring his feelings and thoughts.
On reflection, she realized he had a point. Since they were married, discussing having children was unavoidable.
She was indeed young, but he was not so young anymore, and his grandfather was eagerly waiting to hold a great-grandchild.
