When Lily Turner's figure disappeared at the stairwell corner, Easton Holmes finally turned around and walked towards the door. As he was about to reach it, his phone buzzed in his pocket.
He took out his phone and glanced at it. Just as he suspected, the call was from Thomas Fisher, one of his brothers waiting outside.
After a long wait with no one answering the door, the group outside began to lose their patience. Thomas Fisher, ahead of the others, quickly dialed Easton Holmes's number.
Easton Holmes didn't answer the call. He hastened to the door, opened it to welcome his drunken friends.
"Big brother! What were you doing in there? Took you so long to open the door." As soon as the door opened, Thomas Fisher dissatisfiedly questioned Easton, striding into the house as he spoke.
Following closely behind Thomas Fisher, Evelyn Taylor also entered and headed straight towards the living room, acting as if she owned the place.
