Easton Holmes held Lily Turner with one hand and a phone in the other. He managed to take the call and hold onto her without missing a beat.
Lily Turner didn't know who he was talking to; he barely spoke, and she only heard him say two sentences: "Is it done? Make sure he keeps his mouth shut."
"Can you let me go now?"
Easton had just taken the phone away from his ear when Lily reminded him again to let her go. However, he acted as if he hadn't heard her, still holding her tightly. "Easton Holmes! If you don't let go, I really won't make it in time, not to mention you have to rush back to the Military Department for work, too."
If he didn't care about her being in a hurry, he should at least care about his own affairs.
Easton just silently glanced at Lily, not reacting to her words at all. He held onto her and headed toward the restaurant.
