"So it is decided," Lady Levina declared with finality. "All of the men of H'tharav will fall tomorrow, and the rest shall be forced into servitude."
"Marvelous!" Jorō's lips curved into a beautifully satisfied grin. "That way we secure both human resources and disposables, while at the same time bringing an end to the cult's reign. Ah, and do leave the town chief for me, please."
"Do as you wish," Lady Levina allowed, "but restrain yourself. Do not get carried away and touch the others."
She then turned to Arachne. "Is that acceptable to you, Arachne, dear?"
"Hmmm. I cannot say I like the servitude part very much." Arachne pouted, her expression turning sour. "I would have preferred if they all simply died a swift and painless death. But considering they have disrespected Lord Ravenswood for over a century, it does seem a fairly just judgment."
