Sainan High, Classroom—
"Sora-san, my sister said she's starting work at your agency in a few days. Is that true?" Haruna asked, looking at him as he was teasing Rhea.
"Yeah, I was surprised too. I didn't expect Miss Akiho to apply," he replied with a nod, a strange, devilish light in his eyes.
"Um… thank you, Sora-san…"
A light blush on her cheeks, she had been told about the job by her sister when she got home. She knew that he had chosen her sister over so many other outstanding applicants, not just because her sister was also outstanding, but largely because of her.
"Hehe… no need to thank me."
"Sairenji-san, I'm your sister's boss now. You'd better be nice to me from now on, or I'll bully your sister!" he said with a wicked, gloating smile.
"Well then, esteemed Mr. President, how would you like me to be nice to you?"
Having been his deskmate for so long, she knew him well. She knew he was just having fun and trying to tease her. She rolled her eyes and replied, exasperated.
"Mmm, let's see. When I want to sleep, you'll give me a lap pillow. When my shoulders are sore, you'll give me a massage. When I'm hungry, you'll give me your lunch. And, and…" he said, seriously considering it and counting on his fingers. Haruna's face had already turned dark. Even the loli Valkyrie munching on a snack looked up and gave him a contemptuous look.
"You're too greedy, Sora-san! You get none of that!" she retorted, annoyed, and then turned her head away and closed her eyes, as if to ignore him.
"Hey, hey, Sairenji-san! I'll bully your sister! I really will bully your sister!"
Seeing that she wasn't falling for his trick, the great demon king got anxious and added more emphasis to his words.
"Hmph, if you dare to bully my sister, I'll… I'll bite you!"
I'll bite you… I'll bite you… I'll bite you…
Her voice echoed in his ears. Looking at her shy yet fierce expression, which was incredibly cute, a clap of thunder seemed to explode in his mind.
Oh my god, what did I just hear? The gentle, prim, and even a little shy Haruna just said she would bite me!!!
"Sairenji-san, wh-who told you that?" he asked, his mouth twitching. He was a million percent sure that she would never have said such a thing on her own.
"It… it was Ko-Kotegawa-san. She told all the girls in the class. She said you're most afraid of being bitten, and that if you ever dare to bully or tease us, we should… we should bite you…" she replied, biting her lip, her face flushed with shame.
"Yui!"
Getting his answer, he glared in the direction of her seat.
That woman is really causing me trouble. Does she really think I won't do anything to her? If she pushes me, I'll stab her with my gun right now!
Yui, who was doing her homework, seemed to feel someone glaring at her. She looked up and saw it was him. Though she was confused, seeing his annoyed expression made her feel very satisfied. She sneered and glared back at him.
Speechlessly turning back, he knew his little scheme had been foiled by her. He snatched his little pet's snack and took a bite, his expression one of frustration.
Seeing his expression, Haruna couldn't help but find it a little funny. So what Kotegawa-san said was true.
Though a little embarrassed, the thought of having discovered one of his weaknesses made her a little happy…
"Honestly, Sora-san. I should just make extra lunch from now on…" she thought to herself and took out her textbook.
Not long after, the bell rang, and the teacher came in. With a yawn, he looked bored.
Lala was already asleep on her desk, a silvery thread of drool hanging from her mouth. He didn't bother her.
Last night, Run had come home from the agency, and he had tormented both her and Lala all night. She was still tired and needed to catch up on sleep.
He, on the other hand, was full of energy and had no desire to sleep. But listening to the teacher's lecture was incredibly boring. He handed his little pet to Haruna to hold for a while and then waved to the teacher and walked out of the classroom.
His action was quite arrogant, but the class and the teacher were already used to it. The teacher even said, "Take care, Sora-san, be safe…"
However, seeing him leave, Yui's brow furrowed deeply. She said something to the teacher and followed him out.
"Kusanagi Sora, it's class time! Where are you going?" she asked coldly, stopping him in the hallway.
"What's wrong, Kotegawa-san? Are you trying to stop me?" he asked, turning to look at her with a smile.
"Hmph, I know I can't stop you. But I can follow you and interfere with you!" she retorted with a sarcastic snort.
She had figured some things out by now. He was wicked and powerful, and she was no match for him in a direct confrontation. But so what? As long as she could interfere with him, that was enough.
"Kotegawa-san, are you sure you want to follow me?" he asked, a peculiar, playful look in his eyes.
"Either you go back to the classroom right now, or I'll follow you wherever you go!" she said, staring at him coldly, her expression firm and resolute.
"Alright. I'm going to the bathroom. You can follow me if you want," he said with a shrug, and then turned and walked away.
Staring at his back, it took her a long moment to process what he had said. Her face turned beet red, and she was filled with a deep shame.
"Sh-shameless! Kusanagi Sora, you just wait!" she cursed, but in the end, she didn't have the courage to follow him. She stomped her foot and went back to the classroom alone.
"Hmph… Yui, oh, Yui. You're still too green to fight with me, the great demon king!"
With a smirk, he felt very pleased with himself. Of course, he wasn't going to the bathroom. He was going to the nurse's office to find Ryouko…
…
Somewhere in a distant part of the galaxy, the Kingdom of Light, Planet Kirara—
A rocket descended from the sky. The hatch opened, and the battered Rocket-kun, Pikari weakly crawled out.
"Y-Your Majesty… I was bullied…"
Looking at the noble and beautiful figure on the throne, the poor Pikari was like a wronged child who had finally seen his parent, tears streaming down his face.
"My, my. Though you do seem to be one of our Kirarian people, who are you?" the queen asked, stretching lazily, a confused look on her face.
"It's me, Your Majesty! Pikari! I'm Pikari!"
His voice hoarse, seeing that even the queen didn't recognize him in his miserable state, the poor Pikari was even more heartbroken.
"Pikari… didn't you go to Earth to propose to Princess Lala? Why are you in such a state?"
A beam of light shot down from the throne and instantly healed his injuries. Surprised that it really was him, the queen was astonished.
"Your Majesty, it's like this…"
His strength restored, he stood up and, with a mix of snot and tears, told her about his experience on Earth.
"Kusanagi Sora… a human… perfect light power…"
"Heh… interesting. Very interesting," the queen said thoughtfully, a joyful smile on her face.
"Your Majesty, I have an image of that human here!"
With a hateful expression, he opened the image he had saved. A holographic screen expanded, showing not only Sora but also Lala, Run, and a certain silver-haired loli munching on a snack.
Her eyes sparkling, the queen on the throne sized up Sora, but then she suddenly noticed something and her gaze fell on the silver-haired loli.
"My, my… isn't that the Strongest Valkyrie?"
"It seems there are many interesting things happening on that planet, Earth. I should go take a look as well…"
Muttering to herself, the queen transformed into a golden streak of light and shot into the sky, leaving the poor Pikari standing there, stunned and speechless…
