The Genesis Armor—Tony Stark's most ambitious creation yet.
It was, without question, the most powerful suit of armor he had ever designed. It had the strongest power core, the most fluid transformation systems, the toughest defenses, and the most devastating arsenal ever built into an Iron Man suit.
In short? This armor was cool beyond limits.
"Stark's new suit seems to be made of the traditional titanium alloy mixed with traces of Kree alloys. It looks like Mr. Stark may have taken some inspiration from his previous battle with the Kree," Gene's composite scanning system lit up, analyzing the Genesis Armor's molecular structure.
"But…" he added, voice edged with curiosity, "this alloy doesn't naturally possess liquid transformation properties. It should be impossible for it to fuse with a human body. And yet…"
Red Queen, standing beside him, gave a precise, clinical report.
"The scans show that after merging with Stark's body, the armor is stored within the hollow structures of his skeletal system."
"Hmm… so is that even possible?" Gene asked, intrigued.
"No," Red Queen replied sharply, without hesitation. "It is absolutely impossible."
Gene's eyes gleamed with fascination as he observed the battle raging within Stark Tower. "Looks like Dr. Maya Hansen provided Stark with the final perfected version of the Extremis Virus. That must be what allowed this phenomenon."
He gave a low whistle and smirked.
"As expected, Stark never disappoints."
And indeed, Stark himself could barely believe what he was experiencing.
For the first time, he felt a surge of power flowing through every fiber of his being—or rather, through the Genesis Armor that had now become a part of him. The sensation exceeded every one of his expectations.
His thoughts had never felt so sharp, so fast. His mind seemed to hum with clarity, perceiving endless possibilities. Even more shocking, he could sense flaws and areas of improvement in the Genesis Armor itself—flaws he had never noticed before.
Just days ago, before injecting the Extremis Virus, he had believed the Genesis Armor to be his ultimate achievement, the very peak of his ingenuity. But now?
Now he realized he had barely scratched the surface.
Power pulsed within him. He was one with the armor.
He could control it as naturally as he could his own arms and legs.
This was the true gift of the Extremis Virus.
He had thought the virus would merely enhance his reflexes and self-healing, making him a more capable pilot for the Genesis Armor. But the truth was far beyond his imagination.
The Extremis Virus had bonded him with the Genesis Armor on a fundamental level.
The armor was now stored in his bone marrow, waiting to pour out at his command, encasing him at the speed of thought.
There was no need for neural uplinks, no brainwave translators, no technological intermediaries.
The armor responded to him with zero delay—as seamlessly as moving his own body.
The Genesis Armor was no longer just a suit.
It was a part of him.
Even more astonishing, the data that had once been programmed into the armor—martial arts techniques, combat maneuvers, tactical protocols—now flowed directly into his brain.
The moment he wore the Genesis Armor, he became a master of combat.
From a certain perspective, Tony Stark was becoming more and more like Gene Mason.
He just didn't realize it.
But the Extremis Virus hadn't only altered Stark's biology—it had rewritten the very nature of the Genesis Armor itself.
The virus turned the armor into something eerily similar to the Venom symbiote. When the armor fused into his body, it behaved like a living organism, capable of existing in both liquid and solid states.
Under Stark's will, the armor could morph and reshape itself freely.
Its structure, its weapon systems, its very design could shift according to his imagination.
When the battle began, his arm instantly transformed into the gauntlet of the Hulkbuster armor—an echo of his memories, realized through thought alone.
This was the state he had always dreamed of.
This was the Ultimate Iron Man.
The battlefield trembled as a monstrous roar shook the tower.
Through the smoke and rubble, the Hulk emerged, his emerald muscles straining with fury. His roar was so powerful it made the ceiling tremble, plaster dust raining down like snow.
Then, with the force of a cannon shot, his enormous green fist hurtled toward Stark.
Tony's eyes sharpened.
His enhanced neural responses instantly traced the Hulk's trajectory, predicting not only the incoming punch but the possible follow-up attacks.
He tilted his body just slightly.
The Hulk's fist missed him by mere inches, slamming into the air where Stark's head had been. The compressed air detonated like a bomb, blasting the ground nearby into a crater.
Tony grinned under his helmet, exhilarated.
This was new.
Yes, he had written the Genesis Armor's systems himself, but experiencing them in combination with Extremis was intoxicating. The sense of control, the ability to read every move, to see the Hulk's next attack before it even happened—
It was addictive.
For the first time, he wasn't being outpaced.
The Hulk wasn't just strong—his reflexes and speed were terrifying. In previous battles, Tony had always felt crushed under that raw power, unable to keep up.
Even with brainwave-controlled suits, there had always been lag. Just a fraction of a second—but at this level of combat, that delay could be fatal.
Not anymore.
Now, Tony matched the Hulk blow for blow.
He slipped past every punch, every swipe of those massive green fists, not only dodging but anticipating.
He even had the mental bandwidth to plan his counterattack while evading.
For the first time in his life, Tony Stark felt that he could fight the Hulk on equal ground.
