I was completely taken aback as I blinked multiple times to be sure I was seeing properly and truly, they were bright red in color.
I slowly closed the distance between us and cupped her face as I stared into her eyes in confusion.
"How are they red?" I found myself asking before even realizing it.
"Er? Oh…" she stammered and quickly pulled away to hide her face from me.
"Why are you hiding your face from me, Ingrid? What exactly is wrong?" I asked again because I was beginning to think terrible things but I wanted her to talk to me.
"It just happens when th-the, when the sunlight hits my face for a long time," she answered and my eyebrows lifted in amazement.
"Is that even possible?" I suspiciously asked.
"It is."
"But they are terrifyingly red. Are you sure that's normal?" I worriedly asked as I kept looking at her who had turned away from me completely.
