Chapter 21 - Chapter 20: The Humiliation

Jimin arrived at his home and approached the guest room. He carefully laid Anna down on the bed. She looked exhausted, sad, and hopeless, her eyes still shedding tears even in her deep sleep.

"I'll take her blood," Jungkook said as he entered the room with a syringe in hand. Without wasting time, he drew a small amount of Anna's blood.

Jimin watched closely, his expression tense. "How long will the magic take?" he asked, his voice low but urgent.

Jungkook glanced at his older brother and noticed a change in him—something Jimin shouldn't have been feeling. Jimin seemed to be developing feelings for Anna, which could distract him. However, Jungkook chose not to say anything about it, at least not yet.

"It's going to take some time. I'll need to prepare everything properly," Jungkook said. With that, he left the room, leaving Jimin alone with Anna.

Jimin sat down beside the bed, his eyes fixed on Anna. He felt a strange sense of care for her, and he hated that feeling. Jimin quickly pulled his hand away, as if her touch burned him, the moment he realized that Anna was holding his hand.

Jimin frowned, annoyed at himself. "Why am I feeling this way?" he thought. "Anna is just a weapon to me, nothing more. I can't afford to care about her." Trying to shake off the uneasy feeling, he stood up from the bed and turned away.

Just then, Anna's phone rang, breaking the silence. Jimin hesitated for a moment before reaching into the jacket he had given her. The phone kept ringing.

Jimin carefully slipped his hand into the pocket of her jacket and pulled the phone out. Suddenly, his blood boiled with anger when the screen displayed the name \*David\*. Jimin's eyes narrowed as he answered the call.

"Anna? Where are you?" David asked worriedly.

"This isn't Anna," Jimin replied, trying to sound calm, though his fist clenched at his side.

David's tone immediately shifted to anger. "Who is this? Why do you have my daughter's phone?"

Jimin's expression turned serious. "I'm a friend of Anna's. We were searching for Serena, but Anna collapsed. She's with me now, and she's safe. I'll bring her home as soon as she wakes up."

"Who are you? What's your name?" David asked. He didn't sound convinced.

Jimin paused for a moment, then spoke firmly. "I told you I'm her friend, and she's safe. As of now, you should focus on Serena," he said, and then cut the call. "That bastard has changed a lot," Jimin muttered as he switched off the phone and tossed it back on the bed.

Tears flickered in his oceanic eyes, tracing their way down to his cheek. Old memories flooded his mind, making his heart ache.

Jimin's mind flashed back to the past, another painful memory he had tried to bury for years. The scene played out vividly, as if he were reliving it.

Noxland, Riverfalls Town, 1992:

Jimin's wounded knees scraped against the floor as two muscular men and Professor Ben mercilessly dragged him into a large, dimly lit room. A group of people sat around the room, holding glasses of wine. They looked excited.

Jimin groaned, afraid of the brutality he would witness today. "Hadn't I told you? I have a surprise for you," said Professor Ben, cackling with an evil chuckle. "Look who came to see you," he said. "Officer David Kim, the leader of the secret organization," Ben announced.

Jimin lay on his stomach on the floor, finally forcing himself to look up at David, who stood in the center of the room. David, a young man in his mid-twenties, wore an evil smile that sent a chill down Jimin's spine.

David's father had created this organization in 1971, when the war between humans and Aquanis ended. After his father died a few years ago, David took charge. He stood tall with a cruel smile plastered across his face as he watched Jimin struggle.

Jimin felt a wave of terror wash over him. He tried to speak, but his voice came out weak and broken. "Why are you doing this to me?" he asked. His eyes pleaded for answers.

David stepped closer; his boots clicked against the cold floor. He leaned down, grabbed a handful of Jimin's hair, and said in a calm voice, "I ordered Professor Ben to perform all these experiments on you." He pulled Jimin's hair, forcing him to sit on his knees.

Jimin's heart raced. The roots of his hair ached as he grabbed David's hand and groaned. "Why? Why are you torturing me?" he cried, his voice trembling.

David now sat on his heels and tilted Jimin's neck, increasing the pain. His smile widened. "Because it's human nature," he said coldly. "We're always curious. We always want to control those who are more powerful than us." He paused to let his words sink in and then added, "And you, Jimin, are far more powerful than any of us."

Jimin felt a surge of anger, but he was too weak to fight back. His body ached, and fear clouded his mind.

"Ah... Argh," Jimin groaned agonizingly as David tilted his neck even further.

"How will you feel if I break your neck?" David asked, laughing hysterically. "You won't die... right?"

Jimin growled as the pain became too much to bear. He bared his sharp, pointed teeth, and his eyes shone like the deep ocean. With a forceful push, he shoved David away. Then, he crawled back, clutching his neck tightly.

David stumbled back onto the floor, cackling with laughter. He stood up, brushing off his police uniform. "I'm letting this go because it's a special day for me," he said. Rising to his feet, David turned his attention to the crowd. "Whoever gives us a huge amount of money gets a chance to spend a night with him."

Jimin's heart raced. Panic and anger surged through him. His body trembled as he processed David's words. He couldn't believe what he was hearing. David treated him like an object, something to sell and use. Jimin's chest heaved with heavy breaths. He wanted to scream, to fight back, but his body felt too weak from the pain and exhaustion.

He scanned the room, his eyes wide with fear and desperation. The people in the room stared at him, their faces filled with excitement and greed. Jimin's stomach churned. He clenched his fists, trying to stand, but his legs buckled under him.

"Stop this!" Jimin shouted, his voice shaking. "I'm not an object! You can't do this to me!"

David laughed, his cold eyes locking onto Jimin. "You have no choice," he said calmly. "You belong to us now."

Jimin's heart sank. He felt trapped and helpless. Tears filled his eyes as he realized there was no escape. He wanted to fight, to run, but he knew it was useless. The pain in his body and the fear in his mind overwhelmed him.

He shut his eyes, trying to block out the horrible reality around him. But the laughter and voices of the people in the room echoed in his ears, making escape impossible. Jimin felt a deep despair. He had never felt so alone and powerless in his life.
