"All father, I have returned from my trip to Midgard." I say, kneeling in front of his Throne and setting my case of Vibranium on the floor next to me.
"My son, you look well. Heimdall tells me you were in Wakanda. You know, I once met the king of Wakanda a long, long time ago. A man named Mosi. What did you learn while there? I hope you spent your time valuably, rather than mill about." Odin says with the smallest hint of a smile on his face. If I didn't know him so well I'd assume he was scowling at me.
"I learned a lot father. I studied well, and even developed my own one armed sword style to near mastery. I still need to work at it, but I have time. Also, I made a great deal of allies there, and even acquired a highly sought after material for myself as a gift from the Wakandan Royal Family." I replied with a smile on my face, looking back up to meet his eyes.
"Did you now? Well, It seems you have inherited your mother's skills of diplomacy Verdi. I was never very good at that sort of thing anyways, seeing as I still have not mended the relationship between myself and Laufey. We're both too damn stubborn." My father says, and I can't help but chuckle at his antics. Seeing as how the throne room is currently devoid of people, he doesn't mind being a little looser than normal.
"Father, I'm sure Thor has already spoken with you about it, but on our trip to Wakanda we encountered the World Serpent, Jormungandr. Thor fought the beast, as normal, and managed to acquire a scale for me. He said he has no use for it, so he gave it to me as a gift. I was hoping, with your permission, that I could have some craftsmen utilize the Scale and the vibranium as a material in a new armor set and arm for myself. Vibranium is incredibly versatile and works extremely well with magic and magical materials, but needs a more delicate touch. I was hoping you could introduce me to our best magical craftsmen to craft the things I need, and since I have studied the material over the last five years, I could work with the craftsmen to create what I need. Would you grant me this request father?" I ask, confidence in my voice as I look at my father with determined vision.
"Hm... I don't see why not. I will allow you to meet with the dwarves of Nidavellir to craft your armor. However, I do not yet permit you to craft using Uru, so leave that material out of the equation. Am I clear?"
"Yes father. Thank you for this opportunity."

"Heimdall, good to see you again."
"Leaving us again so soon?" The Helmed watcher responds, his gaze set on the universe in front of him.
"Only for a bit, I'm off to Nidavellir to craft my new set of armor and arm. It shouldn't take too long." I say with pride in my voice as my Mother walks beside me. She is by far one of the best magic wielders in Asgard's history, and if anyone can figure out how to magically stabilize Vibranium then it's her and the dwarves.
"Heimdall, do your best to guard Asgard while I am away. We both know the sort of shenanigans my sons get up to when I'm not there to reprimand them." Freya says to Heimdall as we step in front of the Bifrost's gate.
"You have my word, my queen, I wont let those troublemakers burn the place down just yet." He says, reciprocating her playful attitude, as their friendly relationship allows.
"Very well. Send us away please."
At those words Heimdall twisted his sword and the Bifrost lights up, the portal igniting and sending us hurtling towards Nidavellir.

"Eitri, it's been too long." My mother says, greeting the King of the dwarves, who has clearly done his best to clean himself up prior to the visit of the queen.
"All Mother, Good day to you. The All father had told us of your visit, and the purpose behind it. This must be your son, Verdandi? It is good to meet you, my prince." The ginormous Dwarf responds, clearly in much better spirits then when he was shown on screen in Avengers: Infinity war. As I look around, I can see the many dwarves at work, maintaining the rings of Nidavellir.
"It is great to meet you as well, Eitri! I am excited to work with you to build my new armor and arm! The materials I have brought are rare even across the entire universe, so I hope you're prepared to learn something new today!" I say with an excited smile on my face. Why wouldn't I be excited? I'm gonna have a metal arm like the winter soldier!
"Oh? And what material might that be?" The Dwarf asks, leaning slightly forward in anticipation. clearly the dwarf is a fan of new materials.
"Vibranium." I announce, opening up my case and showing off the raw form of the material.
"Vibranium? Fascinating, I have only ever heard rumors of this material! I am excited to research it!" Eitri says, quickly getting to the point of the visit and leading us to our rooms. The royal quarters aren't anything special, but they don't need to be, seeing as how we will be staying on this forge for the foreseeable future.

"So, Eitri, I actually acquired two seperate materials I would like to combine to create my arm and armor."
"The scale, correct? Interesting, I have never heard of someone trying to use the serpent of Midgard as material before, but I guess new things happen every day." My mother says, a contemplative look on her face. Interestingly, she has decided to get down and dirty with the dwarves and myself during the crafting of my new armor. She is even wearing clothing completely unbefitting of a queen, looking more like a blacksmith's apprentice than a queen. However, I guess she never really gets too many chances to relax during her normal queenly duties.
"Indeed, I figured why not give it a try, right? The scale is incredibly durable, and reinforced using magic that naturally flows through the serpent. If we were to break down the scale and use it as the base protective material and use the vibranium as a inlaid material to strengthen and enhance the magical effects of the scale, then we could have ourselves and incredibly durable, light, and effective set of armor. At least, that's my theory. Who knows how long this will take."
"Well, I for one am ready for a break from my queenly duties. Let Odin handle everything." She says with an excited look on her face. Clearly my mother is a researcher at heart, seeing as she is a master of (Asgardian) magic.
"Well, let's get started then!"

Two years later, and my armor is finally complete.
The research took the vast majority of that time, nearly a full year and a half to figure out how magic and vibranium mix.
Many explosions occurred, let me tell you.
Luckily, Vibranium is extremely durable, and even when it explodes, can be reconstituted and reused.
You see, Vibranium is extremely unique in it's properties. The lists go on and on for what it can be used for and the different properties it has, but the gist is this:
1. Programable.
2. Energy manipulation properies.
3. Extremely durable atomic bonds.
These are the three properties of vibranium that make it so special. However, there is one problem: Vibranium becomes extremely unstable when exposed to unnatural energies, like cosmic energy.
How did we learn this? Because apparently Asgardian magic is simply the direct manipulation of cosmic energy through the help of the Odin force, our enhanced Asgardian biology, and our enhanced willpower as a result of our lineage.
That's how Vishanti magic(like the magic that Stephen Strange uses) and Asgardian magic differ. Vishanti magic is used by basically using rituals to make deals with the three divine beings, the Vishanti, and they manipulate cosmic energy for the ritual user and allow magic to happen. The sorcerer supreme is simply someone who is chosen by the Vishanti to represent them as a sort of avatar.
Anyways, the fact that we directly manipulate cosmic energy kind of blew my mind when Freya told me.
And so, we had to go through months of trial and error before we finally learned the correct process in which vibranium becomes stable while magic is running through it. Literally a full year and a half.
Which just goes to show that Doctor Doom is a complete menace, because what do you mean he did this shit in like an instant? It took me and my mother a full year and a half just to figure out the proper formula and runes to make the vibranium stable, so fuck him I guess.
Fucking super geniuses.
Remind me to try and make him my friend.
Once we applied the formula and refined the vibranium, we then got to work on the scale, which took ages. the process was extremely tedious, because it took so much energy to cut up the massive 8' scale that it took almost a full day to separate via laser. And then, once the full scale was broken down and all our pieces were assembled, I had to build the armor myself, because the dwarves aren't used to such delicate work.

It took another 6 fucking months to assemble my armor, but by the end, after the last stitches were applied, and the last runes were etched into the armor and the arm, it was finished.
We named it V-Scale Armor Mark 1, with similar naming sense for the arm itself.
Some properties of the armor: Elemental resistance, Extreme magic resistance, Kinetic force nullification, Unknown limit to durability.
Some properties of the Arm: The same as the armor, but including: Enhanced prosthesis with Magical neuroreceptors, Magic enhancement, Limited energy absorption, and Energy redirection.
Basically, the arm and armor have become the base of my strength, and are extremely versatile. The armor and the arm work cohesively, so when I am struck with an energy attack of any kind, the energy is funneled into my arm and stored in runes, and then I can release that energy at any time through the arm's Energy redirection function. I.e. I have a laser arm.
Also, once I returned to Asgard, I had Thor test the armor using Mjolnir, and low and behold it held up quite nicely. The armor also has auto maintenance functions, so I don't have to waste time oiling and buffing it.
All of these functions were thanks to magically enhanced vibranium, which lines the scales that make up the bulk of the suit.
The look of the suit is absolutely fantastic, and is the careful and masterful design of Eitri himself. The overall color of the suit is black, but the scales have a blueish over-tint to them that makes the armor look like it's glowing. We tried to get rid of the tint, but apparently the scales don't take to paint very well.
The Scales make up the bulk of the surface area, covering the entire chest, with two larger scales making up the breastplates and many smaller scales running up to the shoulders and down to the belt. The scales also wrap around to the back and cover it completely. My arms are almost entirely bare, except for forearm guards similar to the style that Thor usually has(think love and thunder not Thor 1). The legs are mainly fabric, except there are two large scales on the front of the legs for protection, with comfortable vibranium lined fabric making up the rest of them. The armor also includes boots, except those are made entirely of vibranium/Asgardian steel alloy. The boots are completely silent, just like black panther's. I have no helmet. Helmets are for nerds. Instead I have a vibranium lined hood. The new arm is almost completely made up of scales on the outside, but is lined with vibranium and the inside is mostly made up of vibranium and Asgardian steel allow.
"Wow! Verdi, your armor looks fantastic! And you forged that with mother and the dwarves? Incredible!" Loki says, taking in my new armor and eyeing my new prosthetic arm, "What kind of properties did you manage to give it? You used that scale and the vibranium right?"
I have to admit it's strange seeing Loki this bright and enthusiastic about learning and stuff, but I suppose that's the natural outcome of having someone who looks up to him as a big brother instead of constantly living in Thor's shadow. He is no longer jealous and evil, but he still kept his scheming personality- he simply uses it to cause irreparable damage to one's psyche through annoying pranks. One of which involving a magical Toad that we shall. NOT. MENTION!
Ahem- anyways, trickster god aside, having a second arm again is nice. it's been seven short years since I lost it for good, and I can confidently say I absolutely missed having it. I absolutely took for granted having two arms.
And now, I once again can wield a shield along with my sword, my preferred method of fighting.
"Yeah, I did. Honestly, the armor is cool and all, but I'm most happy about how the arm came out. It's mildly uncomfortable around where it attaches to my body, but that can be easily solved with some minor adjustments. The big thing is that I installed magical neuroreceptors using rune magic so that I could actually have feeling in the new limb. I wont feel pain from it, but I will feel pressure and will be alerted if something has tampered or damaged it. Not that that is ever likely to happen, the material it's made of is one of the strongest in the universe, and is really only second to Uru. I think the only things that could possibly damage it are someone with immense physical strength, or someone imbued with immense cosmic energies... like someone wielding an infinity stone or something."
"Infinity gem, you mean?" Loki says, and although it was clearly a casual correction, I had never in my life once considered that the gems could be the comic versions, and what that would mean for this universe. Where is the soul stone then? Is it on Voramir, or will Adam warlock have it? What of the other stones? I'm sure the ancient one will have the time stone, as is normal, but where could the power stone possibly be? I know the tesseract is in the Vault on Asgard, because Odin once showed me the vault similar to how he showed Thor and Loki as children in the Movies. Honestly I don't know enough about the whereabouts of the gems in the comics to truly be prepared for whatever threats Asgard could face. As far as I'm aware, the gems could be anywhere. Also, does that mean the stones are the kind that don't cripple the user, like in the movies? That would certainly be interesting.
"Ah, yes, I misspoke. Gems. Anyways, I need to speak with father. Good day brother."
"really? Dang, and here I was hoping for a spar..." He said sarcastically, only for Thor to randomly appear behind him(how did he manage to sneak up on Loki?) and catch his words.
"A spar, Brother?! Finally, it has been so long since I beat you to a pulp. Let us commence the bloodshed! HAHAHA!" Thor said randomly, taking Loki by surprise and sending him into a panic.
"Wait, Thor! I was joking! It was sarcasm you oaf! Put me down! Verdi! Save meeeee..." Loki called out in desperation as Thor dragged him into the distance and out of the building towards the sparring fields. Poor loki... or not. Toads happened after all.

"Father, I wish to speak of matters of Grave importance. Do you have a moment?"
"For matters of grave import, always Verdi. Please, guards, leave us." The Guards obviously moved without hesitation, leaving his bedchambers empty sans the two of us. "Now, speak your mind."
"Father, what can you tell me of the Infinity Gems?"
"This is a matter of great import? Interesting... Okay, well, the infinity gems are items of vast power and influence on the cosmos. They are indestructible, as far as anyone is aware, and are incredibly important to the wellbeing of the universe. There are six- Space, Time, Power, Soul, Space, and Reality. Together they power and guide the essential forces of the cosmos. Though, based on your expression, I'm sure you already know that. What else you you need to know?"
"I need to know if you are aware of where they are."
"Ah, so this must be related to your knowledge of our universe. Okay, I will indulge your curiosity. I know of two for certain. The Reality and the Space gems are both in Asgardian protection. As you are probably aware, the space gem is also known as the tesseract, and it is held in our vault currently. The reality gem is sealed away on Midgard. Now, the others I have some Idea. The time gem should also be on Midgard, but the last I heard of it it had fallen into the hands of ancient beings who protect Midgard."
"The Vishanti, correct?"
"Indeed, I am impressed you know... The Power gem I haven't heard of for a long time, but the first person to ever take control of it was a person named the Stranger. I know nothing of the being, or where he is, or even really who he is. Now, the soul stone I know is lost, and hasn't been recovered for a long, long time. I have never heard of anyone ever even laying eyes on it, but there must be someone since it is known to exist. And finally the mind stone, which I know for a fact is in the hands of the Supreme Intelligence, the being who runs and commands the Kree empire."
Well, that certainly solves a few problems. Wait, does that mean Thanos isn't around yet? Because by now, if he hasn't taken the power gem for himself that means he's severely behind schedule. Is he running on MCU schedule? If so, that means he should be born in about 500 or so years, approximately. The exact date is up for debate, but there was a lot of speculation based on the movies.
Of course, Odin could also simply not be aware of if Thanos has taken the gem yet. That makes things tricky.
"Father, have you ever heard of a being named Thanos?"
"No, should I?"
"Hm... No. It's fine. Just know that someone by that name will most certainly be a threat in the future." I said dramatically, my throat dry from uncertainty.
I really hope the Thanos from this universe is the Thanos from the MCU. Otherwise...
