"DigiSoul…"
As long as it's a Digimon universe, in any parallel world, the emotional power of humans can trigger Digivolution.
Just like that interdimensional polyhedron floating in the sky right now.
At its core, it's human malice—malice is also an emotion.
Whether positive or negative, it's all human emotion, and the DigiSoul is the manifestation of that emotional power.
So, in theory, any human from a Digimon world can ignite a DigiSoul.
The extent to which it can burn depends on individual circumstances.
But the two versions of Tai Kamiya weren't lacking. Upon sensing the DigiSoul in Kari Kamiya's hand, they both awakened their own.
Whoosh!
Blazing like orange flames!
The DigiSoul that emerged from both Tai Kamiyas burned nearly identically.
Orange—warm like the sun.
Moss commented, "This is the DigiSoul of Courage!"
Agumon beside Colon Tai nodded, "Tai's power really is full of courage."
"Courage-colored?"
Kari blinked in surprise. It was the first time she'd heard DigiSouls described by color. Curious, she asked, "Angewomon, what about mine?"
Moss had spoken casually; while the color of a DigiSoul is tied to personality, there's no official "courage-colored" term.
"Kari's DigiSoul is white with a tint of pink."
There is some significance in that.
Kari muttered, "Pink… the color of devils."
Tamer Tai, Veemon, Colon Tai, and Agumon all stared in shock.
Kari, did you just say something scary?
Moss raised an eyebrow. "...Who told you that?"
"Nefertimon," Kari replied.
Moss chuckled. "The ocean's worldview is a little different from ours. Just forget it. Yours is a Light-colored DigiSoul!"
"I see…"
Kari thought that devils were kind of cool—like Mossmon. If she could evolve into a Digimon like that, she could travel to many different dimensions and meet all sorts of "big brothers."
If it's just pure light, that would be boring.
Besides, even Lucemon—pure light—ended up falling.
If she was going to fall anyway, better to evolve into something like Mossmon—a chosen fall rather than some hideous transformation.
That's what Kari was thinking.
A complex mind for such a young girl. Meanwhile, Tamer Tai was more straightforward: "Now I can give Veemon better support."
"We're totally unstoppable now! Haha," Veemon grinned.
Tamer Tai had a Digivice, but his model didn't have evolution capabilities—only scanning and data transfer. So all of Veemon's growth had come from his own training and Tai's strategy and training plans.
But now? With DigiSoul awakened, Tai could directly channel emotional energy to Veemon for battle and Digivolution.
Woooo—!
Suddenly, something changed in the sky.
Everyone looked up and saw the interdimensional polyhedron releasing another wave of Digimon—Waspmon, Impmon, Devimon, Dagomon, Megadramon, Gigadramon, Mephistomon…
From weaklings to elite enemies, all kinds poured out.
"Perfect timing," Moss said with a calm smile.
"If you look closely, these aren't true Digimon but entities formed from malice across different worlds."
Just like how Dark Towers once created fake Digimon in Adventure 02.
They looked like Digimon but lacked consciousness—pure machines of destruction, not even considered lifeforms.
Though, exceptions exist. Sometimes, these fakes mutate—like Dark WarGreymon—gaining will and emotion. At that point, they're basically real Digimon.
Tamer Tai looked at his DigiSoul and said, "Now that I've ignited it, maybe I can replace the Digital Spirit."
"Let's give it a shot," Veemon nodded.
Tai raised his left hand, and his Digivice released a red light that channeled his DigiSoul into Veemon.
"Veemon Digivolve to… AeroVeemon!"
Veemon clenched his fists and flexed, smiling, "This is Tai's power—evolved to Ultimate without even breaking a sweat!"
Tai muttered, "I thought with my DigiSoul, we might reach Mega. But I guess that polyhedron is suppressing Digivolution too…"
Moss thought to herself, "Again, just like the Dark Towers…"
"Don't worry, Tai!" Veemon said. "With your power, even as an Ultimate, I'm stronger than ever!"
And with that, he launched a Vee Arrow Blast.
Wherever it passed, those malice-formed Digimon were torn apart, dropping like flies.
Agumon grew eager. "Tai! Let's go too!"
Colon Tai nodded, gripping his Digivice charged with DigiSoul. "Go, Agumon!"
"Agumon Digivolve to… Greymon!"
Agumon grew to massive size, fired off a powerful Mega Flame, and blasted an Impmon to pieces.
"Nice one!" Veemon praised.
"You too!" Greymon laughed, now overflowing with new power. He let loose a flurry of fireballs.
BOOM BOOM BOOM!
Explosions rocked the skies. One by one, Digimon were shattered—
Until a massive figure appeared.
Greymon's flames hit it, but it didn't even flinch.
"Huh?"
"It didn't work?!"
"That's…"
Tamer Tai scanned it. "A Mega… Belphemon!"
Moss muttered, "How nostalgic."
Though this version of Belphemon was fake, it felt just as powerful as the real one Moss had once fought.
Back then, she needed the combined DigiSouls of the entire world to defeat it.
But now?
Moss smiled. "It's not that strong anymore."
Angewomon Lucy replied, "Because we've grown stronger."
Kari asked, "Angewomon, aren't you going to help?"
Moss shook her head. "Not yet. Look at the two Tais. Sense it carefully."
Kari looked at both Tais, closed her eyes, and focused. "Their DigiSouls… they're synchronizing."
"Exactly," Moss said. "As parallel versions of the same person, their DigiSouls are nearly identical. As they sync, it's like a fusion evolution—something amazing is about to happen."
Just then, Belphemon swiped its claw.
BOOM!
The ground shattered. Though Greymon dodged, he was still caught in the blast and reverted to Agumon.
"Agumon!" Colon Tai ran over and helped him up.
Tamer Tai looked on, worried. "Agumon can't go beyond Champion. He's no match for a Mega."
Colon Tai froze. "So you're disappointed! You think we're weak!"
It sounded like a younger brother sulking at his older brother.
As the eldest in his family, he rarely got to feel this way.
Tamer Tai broke a sweat and waved his hands, "No no, not at all."
In the sky, Veemon unleashed Vee Wing Blade—a powerful V-shaped energy slash from his horn and wing edges.
It sliced Belphemon clean in half.
The Mega was destroyed just like that.
"...You guys are amazing. And we can't even fly." Colon Tai looked discouraged.
"Tai," Agumon stood up. "I can still fight! I want to fight!"
"!" Colon Tai blinked.
Tamer Tai tried to stop him, "Hey, don't push yourself!"
But Colon Tai stopped him. "Agumon's right. We can still fight!"
The two Tais locked eyes, filled with the desire for the Crest of Courage.
And at that moment, the crest visibly manifested in their eyes.
Moss smiled. "Synchronization—complete."
Their DigiSouls resonated and exploded in power, spreading from fists to their entire bodies.
"Whoa?!"
"So much power!"
Their DigiSouls surged like wildfire.
The energy poured into Veemon and Agumon.
Both evolved—leaping forward—
"UlforceVeedramon Future Mode!"
"WarGreymon!"
The two Mega Digimon combined forces and shot through the sky like meteors.
In one strike—they shattered the interdimensional polyhedron.
As it shattered, Colon Tai began fading.
Realizing he was returning to his world, he told Kari, "Kari, take care of yourself."
Even if she wasn't his real sister, his affection still reached her.
Kari smiled. "You too, big brother."
And just like that, Colon Tai and Agumon vanished back to their original world.
"Eh?"
Colon Tai sat up, dazed.
Surrounded by his friends—Matt, Sora, Izzy, Joe, Mimi—and their partner Digimon.
"You collapsed! Are you okay, Tai?" Sora asked.
"Ah… I'm fine." Colon Tai laughed nervously. Was that all a dream?
He raised his hand and focused.
Whoosh!
His DigiSoul flared to life.
"That wasn't a dream!" Colon Tai beamed.
"Ahh! Tai, your hand's on fire! Get water!" Joe panicked.
Colon Tai laughed, "It's not fire—it's DigiSoul! I'll teach you guys."
…
Meanwhile, back in the V-Tamer Digimon World—
The shattered fragments of the polyhedron faded in the wind.
"He went back that quickly?" Tamer Tai wondered. "Maybe his arrival was because of that thing."
Moss added, "So the polyhedron summoned its own enemy? That means its structure is more complex than we thought."
"Maybe impurities got into it when it formed," Tai said. "Its internal will couldn't unify."
Moss said, "Like Pandora's Box."
Tai paused.
"In the myth, Pandora's Box contained all evil, but at the bottom—there was still hope."
Tai nodded in realization. "If the polyhedron followed that myth, then yes—it brought crisis but also left hope. We should call it the Pandora Polyhedron."
And so, they gave it that name.
Moss didn't care—it was destroyed anyway. But the name fit—it was truly a source of disaster.
"Let's hope it never appears again," Tai said.
…Flag raised.
Moss rolled her eyes. Unless every human in every dimension was wiped out, the Pandora Polyhedron was bound to return.
"Why haven't you guys disappeared?" Tai asked.
Moss replied, "We came here by our own dimensional gate. And now… it's time to go."
"You're leaving?" Veemon looked disappointed.
"I've memorized this place's coordinates. If there's ever another crisis—I'll call you. Don't be annoyed."
"I'd love to help," Tai and Veemon gave a thumbs-up.
Moss gathered light and darkness energy—used Chaos Downgrade—and opened a new dimensional gate.
Kari waved, "Bye, big brother from another world."
…
After over a hundred aimless jumps, Moss and Kari returned to the Holy Angewomon's castle in the Frontier world—for a meal.
Curious, the Holy Angewomon asked what happened, and Moss recounted their visit to the V-Tamer world.
Then Moss asked, "Is it possible to prevent the Pandora Polyhedron from forming?"
"Probably not," Angewomon shook her head.
Moss wasn't surprised. With infinite parallel worlds, you can't stop something like that from forming. Not even Doraemon could.
Only solution: face it head-on when it comes.
After a good meal and rest, Moss and Kari set off on another multiversal journey.
After several more random jumps, they finally reached another Digimon world.
The sky resembled a floating planet structure—not the Adventure world, but the Tamers world.
BOOM!
Suddenly, the earth cracked—bloody red light surged forth.
Kari shivered. "This power… it's angry. Sad."
"You can sense it that well now?" Moss asked. She too felt that this overwhelming energy, if left unchecked, would endanger the Digital World.
A Tamers world… and an emotional, destructive power…
There's only one possible culprit—
Destromon.
If Destromon's here, that means—
Leomon is dead.
