Her eyes flashed with an equal dose of disbelief and annoyance.
Yes, she wanted to know who had set them up then but there was no way she'd admit that. Besides, if she'd truly cared enough about knowing, she could have found out herself. She had people for that. Besides, what is the use now? What had happened had happened.
Richard, however, seemed unperturbed by her sharp tone. He took a sip of his coffee before leaning back in his chair. "Are you sure you don't want to know?" He asked with a cunning grin on his face.
"It's not a top priority but I can't waste a whole morning out here with you only to return empty-handed, right?"
Richard was rendered speechless. What a perfect way of saying she was interested in finding out the truth. What would it cost her to directly say she wanted to find out?
And since when did having breakfast with him considered a waste of time?
