"Now that we're done talking, can you get off my car? I still need to attend to my business."
"But my car is not here. You don't expect me to hop from one cab to—"
"Get your driver to come pick you up," Shantel impatiently cut him off. Who was he trying to deceive?
"Discard after use? Humph! So heartless!"
"When you're done with your childishness, you can make that call," Shantel sneered and got down from her car. "But I'd appreciate it if you come down so I can lock my car."
Richard didn't want to push it too far so he got down. Actually he'd noticed his driver following them after they left the breakfast parlor at a reasonable distance that wouldn't arouse Shantel's suspicions.
"I think I also have something to deal with, so I'll just head back," he said after staring at the message on his phone.
"Whatever," Shantel said as she strolled off.
She'd just settled into her office when the manager came to see her.
"Mr Pratt, how has it been?"
