A small hand extended from the center of the Mors's body, gripping five cards. It then stared blankly at Barghest, who stared right back.
"...Why isn't it saying anything?" Barghest couldn't help but ask. Her opponent just kept staring at her, making no move.
"My Noble Phantasm grants intelligence, but for creatures that originally lack any personality, it can only make them play cards. Since it's not reacting, you should take the first turn," Jiang You explained. This was his first time observing a Duel against a mindless mob opponent. In previous similar situations, he'd either been in an emergency or engaged in another battle.
"I'll go first!"
Barghest readily accepted the first turn. She glanced at her hand and her eyes widened in astonishment.
"This... This is—!?"
"A Knights of the Round Table Deck."
Jiang You had extremely high authority within the Duel, allowing him to see his teammate's hand directly. His opponent's hand, however, was censored to prevent him from cheating.
"Don't be surprised. You can use them too. After all, your card name can be treated as 'Round Table Knight Gawain'."
"But how do you have these...?"
Barghest grew curious about Jiang You. Could he be a Knight of the Round Table too? She wasn't surprised that Jiang You had his own cards now, but possessing the original versions raised many questions.
After a moment of hesitation, Barghest shook her head. Perhaps Jiang You had already given her the answer when he told his story.
"No, I'm sorry. I was prying too much. We should trust each other completely. I activate the Spell Card 'Glorious Round Table Knights'! I can only activate this card if I control no Servants or only 'Knights of the Round Table' Servants. Once per turn, I can Special Summon one 'Knights of the Round Table' Servant from my Deck. I Special Summon 'Fairy Knight Gawain' from my Deck!"

"I activate my own effect! Once per turn, I can pay 1000 Life Points to add one 'Excalibur Galatine' from my Deck to my Hand and equip it to myself!"
Barghest once again broke off her own horn, transforming it into the Demon Sword.
Barghest's LP: 4000 → 3000.
[Fairy Knight Gawain]'s Attack Power: 2800 → 3800.
"And then, I equip [Sword of Revolving Victory] to myself!"
Having obtained the legendary Holy Sword, Barghest couldn't resist trying it out. She equipped the Equip Spell Card to herself.

"So this is Sir Gawain's Holy Sword? It feels so scorching hot... like the sun itself."
Although Barghest was a Demon Dog wreathed in black flames, and she prided herself on her body's Demon Sword being no less powerful than a Holy Sword, she still felt a significant difference after wielding it.
"Unfortunately, it doesn't really suit me."
"The Deck also has weapons from the other Knights of the Round Table. Personally, I recommend [Arondight]. Even though it's Lancelot's sword, it has excellent synergy with the Knights of the Round Table, allowing it to repeatedly cycle back from the Graveyard. Sometimes, you might even be able to use it as free fodder for a cost."
If it weren't for the fact that only Servants with the "King of the Knights of the Round Table" trait (which Lostbelt Morgan also possesses) could equip the Sword of Promised Victory and the Holy Lance, Jiang You would have temporarily crammed those two into the deck as well.
"You possess all the Holy Swords of the Knights of the Round Table?"
Barghest nearly blurted out, Are you King Arthur? That would explain everything. But Jiang You's mother was Tiamat, and she knew that name could never belong to King Arthur's mother. Beyond that, she was clueless. She found herself growing increasingly curious about Pan-Human History.
"It's not that exaggerated," Jiang You replied. "I don't have every single Holy Sword. I still haven't earned the recognition of the other Knights of the Round Table."
Take Agravain, for instance. Who the hell knew what weapon that guy even used? Naturally, there was no corresponding card for it.
"This is more than enough," Barghest declared, her confidence soaring. "With your aid, my strength has increased dramatically. I set two cards face-down in my backrow. Your turn!"
The two Holy Swords granted Barghest immunity to targeting effects once and immunity to destruction by card effects once. Combined with her staggering 4300 Attack Power, she was now incredibly difficult to break through without a non-targeting destruction effect.
Mors silently drew a card from his Deck. Without a word, he slammed it onto the field.
Continuous Spell Card: [Mors' Curse]
1. To activate this card, you must discard 1 card from your hand. While this card is face-up on the field, whenever a player Special Summons a Servant, that Servant is immediately sent to the Graveyard. Then, Special Summon 1 "Mors Token" with the same Attack and Defense as the sent Servant to the Summoner's field. This effect does not apply to Servants with "Mors" in their name.
2. All Servants on your opponent's field lose 500 Attack Power. If they are "Fairy" type, they lose an additional 500 Attack Power.
3. When your opponent declares an attack, they must pay 500 Life Points. If the attacking Servant is "Fairy" type, they must pay an additional 500 Life Points.

Next, Mors Normal Summoned another Servant.
A black, amorphous creature rose from the ground.

1. If your opponent controls a "Fairy" type Servant, you can Normal Summon this card without Tributing.
2. When this card destroys a Servant by battle, you can Special Summon 1 "Mors" Servant from your Deck. The Special Summoned "Mors" Servant gains Attack Power equal to half the Attack Power of the destroyed Servant.
3. After a Servant battles this card, if it was not destroyed, destroy it. If you successfully destroy it, Special Summon 1 "Mors Token" (Attack/Defense 0/0) to its original position. At the start of its controller's turn, this token inflicts 500 effect damage to them.
All of its effects are designed to burn through Life Points. If you can't end the duel quickly, you'll be slowly bled dry. That's why the Fang Clan, known for their overwhelming Attack Power, are the natural counter to the Mors.
"Can the Fang Clan warriors really handle something like this?" Jiang You muttered. He felt that an ordinary warrior would stand no chance against these effects, especially with all the burn damage.
"Not all Mors are like this," Barghest explained. "This one is far stronger than the average Mors!"
Barghest explained, "Its size and aura far surpass those of other Mors. That's why I could sense its presence from such a great distance... What in the world are those Queen's Knights doing, letting something like this roam free?!"
She continued, "Without you, I would have had to pay a heavy price to destroy it, whether in battle or in a Duel."
Barghest smiled. "But things are different now. Thank you."
