Chapter 1062 - Chapter 1062

Chapter 1062: Reinforcements and Beast

"Is Okita Souji such a powerful Heroic Spirit?"

Muramasa stared dumbfounded at the two figures moving as fast as lightning.

He felt that either of them could easily defeat him!

"The real Okita Souji certainly isn't that powerful!"

Seeing the girl finally take action, Grimm visibly breathed a sigh of relief.

"Let's leave this to him... well, to her. We should go deal with the soldiers outside the city!"

Why switch to third person?

Muramasa shot Grimm a suspicious glance.

Then everyone gathered together and headed outside the city, beginning to clear out enemy soldiers like playing a musou game.

"To think there's someone this powerful among the rebels?"

Woodwose grew more shocked the longer he fought.

Though he held himself in high regard, he was never arrogant enough to look down on others.

His earlier anger had subsided, replaced by the awe inspired by a powerful enemy, restoring his rationality.

"Just who are you?!"

"A woman!"

"..."

Lunatic!

Even in the midst of battle, Woodwose felt utterly speechless.

Of course I know you're a woman! I want to know your name and identity!

"Clang!"

An upward slash intercepted Woodwose's descending claws.

Okita Souji kicked out, explosive power erupting as she sent Woodwose flying hundreds of meters away.

"Useless!"

But Woodwose stood up as if nothing had happened, a mocking smile playing on his lips.

"I am a Fang Clan, Fang Clan Hundred Species - Duke of Heat Dissipation! Attacks of this level can't even scratch my skin!"

"Indeed quite tough!"

Okita Souji clicked her tongue secretly.

On the surface, she had the upper hand, continuously knocking Woodwose back.

But comparing their conditions, Woodwose hadn't suffered any injuries at all - no matter how many slashes landed on him, it didn't matter.

In contrast, if she carelessly got hit by his breath attack even once, she'd be lucky to escape with her life, let alone avoid serious injury!

"To drive him back, I'll probably need to get a bit serious!"

Okita Souji's gaze gradually turned cold and sharp.

...

On the vast plains.

A thousand-strong army advanced in an orderly manner.

They were a squad of fairy soldiers, elite troops who could each take on ten ordinary soldiers. Every soldier wore armor resembling green lizards, each emanating a intense aura of killing intent - clearly all seasoned veterans who had roamed battlefields.

They had come from Camelot, dispatched to Londinium.

Their mission was to join forces with the Fang Clan's army to suppress and eliminate the rebel forces.

According to intelligence, the rebel forces totaled less than a thousand, with nearly half being ordinary humans. Their actual soldier count was minimal. The Fang Clan's soldiers alone should have been sufficient; with their addition, it should be effortlessly easy, like turning over one's hand.

Every soldier held such confidence.

These weak rebels were simply not worthy of comparison with the fully established Queen's army!

However.

"Bzzz—!"

Silently and without warning.

A dark demonic mist appeared directly above this army.

Before the soldiers could even raise their guard, the black demonic mist had already expanded, covering the entire army in the blink of an eye!

Within the demonic mist.

Just as the soldiers were growing panicked, the mist seemed to possess consciousness as several eerie eyes opened from within the fog.

"Indeed, ever since arriving in this world, I've been holding back. Now I can finally feast to my heart's content!"

A cheerful voice emerged from the mist.

The voice sounded heavily processed, becoming so deep that its gender was indistinguishable.

Beneath those pairs of eyes, a massive, gaping maw suddenly appeared!

It lunged fiercely toward the soldiers!

"Clang!"

"Huh?"

But with a sharp metallic sound, the enormous mouth abruptly halted, emitting a surprised noise.

Following the gaze.

Around the soldiers, several layers of crystal-like, shimmering barriers had appeared at some unknown time.

The soldiers themselves were astonished, completely unaware of what had protected them.

"I'm truly surprised. I never expected to encounter such a big fish here!"

A cloaked figure emerged at the forefront of the soldiers.

His tone was thick with astonishment.

"Such an overwhelming demonic aura, such a foul presence... You couldn't possibly be a Beast, could you?"

The multiple eyes in mid-air froze momentarily.

It seemed she was taken aback at having her identity exposed so easily.

"General!"

The adjutant quickly approached the cloaked figure.

"Tell everyone to stay calm and remain inside the crystals. Do not venture out."

"Yes, sir!"

The adjutant responded respectfully and went to reassure the soldiers.

Meanwhile, the cloaked figure stepped forward.

The crystals ahead parted, creating a path for him to walk through.

"Attacking this reinforcement unit at such a time—this can't be a coincidence, can it?"

"From your appearance, you don't seem fully formed yet. Your power still falls short of a true Beast. You should avoid exposing yourself to the Queen's gaze, or you'll surely face a crushing blow... To act so recklessly, have you reached some kind of agreement with the rebels?"

Beasts are inherently self-serving.

They wouldn't help anyone out of mere goodwill. Their sudden appearance like this could only mean one thing—a convergence of interests!

"Quite perceptive."

The demonic mist in the sky contracted warily.

The three pairs of unusually narrow eyes slowly narrowed.

The atmosphere grew suffocatingly heavy.

"Those capable of blocking my fangs are rare in this Lostbelt. Judging by your attire, you don't resemble any of the Fairy Knights. Could you be the rumored 'Demon Consort' personally appointed by the Queen?"

"Your insight is no less impressive."

"Flattery will get you nowhere."

The demonic mist writhed, the three pairs of eyes drifting up and down.

"So the Demon Consort is leading this reinforcement unit. This complicates matters. I made a promise to annihilate this entire force. If I fail, it would tarnish NFF Services' reputation for guaranteed mission completion."

"Tell me, could you step aside and let me devour these soldiers? As compensation, I'll offer you one free service. How does that sound?"

Including the full package?

Eiji nearly asked that aloud.

He lowered his head, feigning contemplation.

"Tell me, if I were to obliterate you, wouldn't that also qualify as a free service?"

And one that's even more extensive and thorough!

"Bzzzt—!"

The three pairs of eyes bulged abruptly.

Six sharp beams of light shot from those eyes, converging on the motionless Eiji on the ground!

"Crack!"

But in an instant, multiple layers of crystals had already materialized in front of Eiji.

The sharp laser possessed astonishing destructive power, shattering over half of the crystals in the blink of an eye, yet ultimately failed to pulverize them all.

After refracting several times across the water mirror's surface, the laser abruptly reversed its path and shot toward the three pairs of eyes!

But the pitch-black demonic mist enveloped her surroundings, plunging the eyes into sudden darkness as the laser passed through them as if slicing through empty air.

"Tch, failed to kill them after all?"

From within that demonic mist, several colossal entities surged forth!

Upon closer inspection, the three pairs of narrow eyes abruptly expanded, transforming into six massive, soft-bodied forms rivaling skyscrapers in scale.

As the dissatisfied voice echoed, the Beast revealed its true form.
