Chapter 1141: Eiji vs. the Curse God
"Not bad at all!"
Ripples spread through space.
Ten demonic wings fully extended as a figure exuding an alluring, demonic aura appeared mid-air.
"However, leave the rest to me!"
"All of you, retreat from there. I won't be responsible if you get caught up in this!"
An arrogant voice descended from the clouds, reaching all the way to the deck.
"That guy, how dare he boast like that!"
Muramasa clicked his tongue in extreme displeasure.
What's going on?
When I was about to sacrifice myself earlier, you suddenly jumped out and stole the spotlight.
Now that I'm about to sacrifice myself again, why do you have to jump out and steal my thunder again?
Are you just destined to clash with me?
"Let's retreat for now! Grimm is almost at his limit too!"
Da Vinci's voice regained some of its liveliness.
Not just him, but everyone—Habetrot, Percival, even Fujimaru Ritsuka and Grimm—seemed to have encountered a savior, with visible hope appearing in their strained expressions.
If things had continued as they were, while Muramasa might have been able to defeat the Curse God at the cost of his own destruction, once Grimm reached his limit and the Mímir's Light protecting them from the curse shattered, they would all die here!
Even the Shadow Border would be destroyed!
Moreover, Muramasa only might have been able to defeat the Curse God. Whether he could actually do it, whether the Curse God had other methods, how tough its Divine Core was—all of these were complete unknowns. Continuing to stubbornly fight at that point would have been unwise.
Changing pitchers now was the perfect timing, truly a godsend!
The Shadow Border immediately ignited its engines and fled from the Curse God's presence at top speed.
Soon after leaving the Curse God's domain, the Spring of Mímir vanished. Grimm, severely wounded, collapsed on the deck and was quickly taken by Sion to receive medical treatment.
"I just wonder, how far can he go?"
Holmes took a deep breath inside the cabin, trying to calm his unsettled emotions.
From a rational perspective, he couldn't predict the outcome of this battle either, as he wasn't fully aware of Eiji's capabilities.
"Regardless, this is probably our last hope!"
If even Eiji couldn't win...
Then their only option would be to ram the Storm Border into the Curse God in a suicide attack!
"Wait, where did Artoria go?"
At that moment, Fujimaru Ritsuka on the deck suddenly noticed.
Artoria had disappeared at some point!
On the battlefield.
After the Shadow Border left, the great chasm was once again filled with endless cursed hands. Viewed from a distance, it looked like something straight out of Cthulhu Mythos, abnormally sanity-draining!
"So this is the true form of the Curse God!"
Eiji manipulated gravity, slowly descending from the sky.
Beneath his feet was the Curse God's foolish-looking face.
Its several pairs of crimson eyes, burning like flames, were each hundreds of meters long.
Thinking back carefully, the flame-like red light he had seen at the bottom of the great chasm 2,400 years ago—wasn't that the Curse God's slender eyes?
The Curse God slowly raised its massive head.
As if sensing a threat, it immediately extended its endless cursed hands, swatting toward Eiji above its head!
"I bear no grudge against you—in fact, your grievances are entirely justified."
Eiji halted his descent.
The pallor had long vanished from his face, replaced by a vibrant vitality, though at this moment, he couldn't help but sigh over the Curse God's plight.
"If your goal is to destroy Britain and the fairies upon it, I wholeheartedly support you. But to drag innocent Pan-Human History into this? That is something I cannot tolerate!"
Snap!
Eiji flicked his fingers sharply.
"I will destroy you with all my might! Come forth—Seventh Beast, Kiffa Ater (The Black Sword of Yama)!"
In that instant,
A colossal black sword materialized in the sky above the clouds.
Shaped like a vajra sword, it was a divine blade once wielded by ancient gods to vanquish demons, its blade easily exceeding a hundred meters in length!
Yet, against the Curse God and its curse-ridden hands, which spanned kilometers, even a hundred-meter blade seemed almost toy-like.
But its power was not to be underestimated!
The black sword rose above the clouds.
Then, hundreds of times the force of gravity abruptly acted upon it.
Falling freely, the sword broke the sound barrier in the blink of an eye!
Amid a series of sonic booms, the black sword—plummeting from dozens of kilometers high under immense gravity—instantly pierced through hundreds of curse-laden hands.
It struck squarely into the Curse God's skull!
BOOOOOOM—!
A massive shockwave erupted, sweeping outward in all directions!
The tremor was so intense that even the submarine, kilometers away, shuddered violently.
"What tremendous force!" exclaimed a stunned Da Vinci.
"Calculations show that if this strike had landed on the earth, it would have instantly obliterated everything within a hundred-kilometer radius!"
Muramasa and the others, who had just returned to the hall, were immediately struck speechless.
The sheer destructive power of "instant obliteration" was beyond imagination—
It was akin to the force of a catastrophic earthquake!
Was such a thing even possible?
Did this mean Eiji could destroy all of Britain with just seven or eight such attacks?
Thankfully, the Curse God had withstood it!
Moreover, since the black sword had struck within the Great Pit, the island itself remained unscathed—not even nearby Camelot was affected.
Was it you, Curse God, who saved Britain?
What a grim irony!
Back at the Great Pit,
Even for the Curse God, that single blow had instantly shattered its entire head.
Nearly half its body crumbled along with it.
Its grip on the pit visibly faltered, nearly causing it to collapse back into the depths.
"And still no sign of its core?"
Eiji nodded faintly to himself.
The kilometers-thick cursed flesh defense was indeed formidable.
For Muramasa to have achieved what he did—special attacks against divine beings were truly something else!
"In that case, I'll just blast all your flesh to pieces!"
"Come forth—Regulus Aurum (The Golden Lion), Alnasl Minium (The Crimson Twin-Horned), Alrescha Glacies (The Frost-Siren)!"
A golden lion wreathed in crackling lightning.
A scarlet, twin-horned steed shimmering like heat haze.
And a siren, a fusion of mermaid and enchantress.
"Attack!" Eiji commanded.
The three Beast Vassals emerged simultaneously.
Under Eiji's command, they launched a fierce assault on the Curse God simultaneously!
The Enchantress instantly unleashed boundless frigid energy, which enveloped the Curse God's shattered upper body. In an instant, it formed ice of absolute zero, freezing the flesh buds on the cursed flesh's surface in a flash.
The Curse God's regenerative ability was drastically reduced!
At the same time, the Golden Lion and the Two-Horned Horse flanked from left and right, directing golden lightning from the sky and crimson high-frequency vibration waves straight at the Curse God's body!
In the blink of an eye, a large chunk of flesh was blasted apart.
The Enchantress closed in, using absolute zero ice to freeze that portion of the cursed flesh once again.
