Synopsis
To love is to give yourself away to place your heart in trembling hands. To lose is to hear the hollow echo of what once filled you, a silence heavier than sound. To heal is to learn that broken things do not lose their light, but often shine brighter than before. Healing is not forgetting, nor is it pretending the wound was never there. It is choosing, again and again to breathe, even when every breath burns. And though the world may not understand the weight you carry, still, you remain. Still, you are enough. Still, you are alive.

Chapter 1 - It's Okay To Not Be Okay

When your heart is broken, it hurts. When you have to let go of someone you love, it hurts.

When you wish things could go the way you want, or in the peaceful way you imagine, and it doesn't, it hurts even more.

Most people want a simple life, a happy relationship, something that spells happily ever after. But often, they don't get it—not even half of it. Some of us just want our love lives to go well, but it still falls apart. Others want peace within their families, but we don't get that either. Some just want to stay alive, to be healthy, but they don't always get that, and they realize too late how much they've neglected themselves.

So, in life, the times you don't get what you want are far too many.

The thing about living is learning to make do with what you have. It's mostly about not getting what you want, but managing what you've got. Sometimes, it's okay not to be okay because that's life.

So pick up the scraps, live with them, because some of us don't have much to live with at all, yet we're still here, thriving. But don't you forget those scraps are yours so, you're the cheerleader in your life.
