Chapter 25 - Chapter 25: Oscar, Take My Advice—This Woman’s Out of Your League

Su Xiaoqi's outstretched hand froze in place. Turning his head, he flashed Zhu Zhuqing an awkward smile and said, "Zhuqing, I just wanted to check what material she's made from—absolutely no other intentions."

"Heh..." Zhu Zhuqing sneered, her expression cold. "If I'd opened my eyes a little later, would I have seen you hugging her?"

Su Xiaoqi quickly explained, "I swear I only wanted to see what she was made of. This thing looks so real—I was just curious, that's all."

"Really?"

Zhu Zhuqing hesitated internally. When it came to body shape, she was clearly better than that fake girl. Given the opportunity he had just moments ago and how he didn't take advantage of it, it didn't make sense he'd get handsy with a plastic doll.

Su Xiaoqi raised three fingers in a solemn gesture. "I swear."

"Fine, I'll let it slide this time. But she's staying with me."

Zhu Zhuqing felt like she was becoming some kind of storage bin. From the black stockings and the qipao to now this doll, her collection of random junk was growing fast.

"Farewell, Kurumi. Our time together was short, but I'll remember you."

Su Xiaoqi gave a silent farewell to the life-sized Tokisaki Kurumi and nodded to Zhu Zhuqing. "No problem. All yours."

"By the way, after absorbing that soul bone, what level did you reach?"

A faint smile appeared on Zhu Zhuqing's face. "Level 30. Once I obtain a soul ring, I'll become a Soul Elder. And this soul bone is really a great fit—it'll help me a lot in actual combat."

Su Xiaoqi smiled. "Congrats, Zhuqing. Now learn the Moonwalk skill while you're at it. That way, if we run into Tang San tonight in the Great Spirit Arena, you definitely won't lose."

Following Su Xiaoqi's instructions, Zhu Zhuqing quickly grasped the Moonwalk technique and exclaimed, "This is amazing—it's so easy!"

Su Xiaoqi stepped forward and took her hand. "Come on, let's find a quiet place to test it out. Then we'll grab a quick breakfast and head to Shrek Academy. First day of school—plenty of chances to stir things up."

"Okay."

Zhu Zhuqing didn't mind holding hands at all—after all, he had already carried her before. Hand-holding was nothing.

The two of them returned to the same area where they had fought the day before. Zhu Zhuqing started practicing Moonwalk. The moment she successfully stepped into the air, her excitement was palpable.

Meanwhile, Su Xiaoqi began experimenting with Ki manipulation. Though he could only control a tiny bit of energy, he was thrilled nonetheless.

After about an hour of practice, they returned to Soto City for breakfast, then headed to Shrek Academy.

By the time they arrived at the schoolyard, several other students were already there. Ning Rongrong spotted them from afar and started waving enthusiastically.

"Well, well, another beauty shows up—and what a figure,"

Ma Hongjun's eyes lit up at the sight of Zhu Zhuqing's curvaceous form. But when he saw her holding hands with the man beside her, he pouted. "Shame she's already taken."

Dai Mubai snorted. "Fatty, if you're into her, go for it. That guy's just an ordinary person—not your competition."

Ma Hongjun scowled. "Come on, Boss Dai, don't try to set me up. I already heard about what happened yesterday."

"If even you got sent flying by him, I don't stand a chance. She might be hot, but I like living."

"Coward," Dai Mubai cursed inwardly. He had hoped to incite a fight between Ma Hongjun and Su Xiaoqi, but clearly, the guy had smartened up overnight.

Ning Rongrong ran up to them with a cheerful smile. "Su Xiaoqi, Zhuqing, glad you're finally here!"

Oscar followed closely behind. "Bro, I heard what happened yesterday—damn, you're tough. By the way, want some sausages? My treat."

Su Xiaoqi glanced at him with a grin. "Didn't expect you to be so generous after shaving off your moustache. Alright, I'll take ten."

Oscar's face immediately collapsed. "Bro, could you maybe ask for fewer? Otherwise, I'm toast for the day."

As he handed over a sausage, Oscar whispered, "Can we talk in private?"

"Sure." Su Xiaoqi nodded, already guessing what Oscar wanted to discuss. He turned to Zhu Zhuqing and said, "Zhuqing, go chat with Ning Rongrong for a bit."

Zhu Zhuqing nodded, releasing his hand and walking over to Ning Rongrong.

"Thanks. Anytime you want sausage, just hit me up." Oscar gave a grateful nod before leaning in. "Look, I'm not getting involved in your beef with Boss Dai, but I do need a favor."

Su Xiaoqi chuckled. "Let me guess—you want help chasing Ning Rongrong?"

"You knew?!" Oscar's eyes went wide, then he lowered his voice. "Since you already figured it out, I won't hide it. I do like girls like her. But she seems pretty close to you... You've already got Zhu Zhuqing, right? You wouldn't be competing with me, would you?"

Su Xiaoqi laughed and patted Oscar's shoulder. "Dude, take my advice—Ning Rongrong's not someone you can handle. You know she's from the Seven Treasure Glazed Tile Clan, but do you know their criteria for a partner?"

Oscar shook his head. "No idea."

Su Xiaoqi continued, "Their number one rule is that their partner must be a Battle Soul Master—not a Support-type."

"Of course, that's just what I've heard. If you really want to go for it, be my guest. I'm not interested in her. Zhuqing's strict enough as it is—no way I'd dare flirt around."

Oscar looked a bit disheartened, but still managed a smile. "Thanks for the heads-up. I'll go talk to her myself."

Su Xiaoqi patted his shoulder again. "Since you fed me sausage, here's a quote for you—'There's plenty of flowers in the field. Why chase only one?'"

"Got it."

Oscar turned to glance at Ning Rongrong before silently walking off to one side.

Su Xiaoqi shook his head. Part of the reason he said all that was to alter the original storyline and gain points, but he genuinely believed Oscar and Ning Rongrong weren't a good match.

With his presence changing the plot, Tang San's rise to godhood was practically off the table. Without the original storyline's achievements, would Ning Fengzhi still accept Oscar?

Ning Fengzhi had never really liked Oscar to begin with.

The only reason he eventually agreed in the original story was because of Oscar's deep bond with Tang San.

As Su Xiaoqi was mulling over all this, a cold voice spoke behind him.

"So this is how you usually describe me? I'm very strict with you?"

"Crap."

Su Xiaoqi's heart dropped. He had no idea how Zhu Zhuqing overheard that conversation, but one thing was clear—he'd have to start coaxing her again.

Before he could even open his mouth, Flender appeared from the other end of the schoolyard.

Unlike in the original story, this time he wasn't alone—he had several people following closely behind.
