Chaos reigned. Death and destruction was brutally imposed upon the villagers of Amont as their once quaint little homes were burnt to ash by several monstrous, nightmarish creatures that looked like they came from hell itself. Those creatures were destroying every single thing in its path and seemed to be made to destroy everything that encounters it. The chaos reached its crescendo as the flames roared and raged while the shrieking of the horrified villagers reverberated through the air as many frantically attempted to flee while others were brutally teared apart by the monstrous creatures. It seemed as though the chaos would never end, and there would be eternal destruction, until-
Silence.
The chaos had come to an abrupt halt.
And then-
2 gloves, covered in golden gears with a singular clock in the middle, resting on a pedestal, and behind that pedestal was a large, ornate grandfather clock. All was still, except the gloves had an almost mystical feeling about it.
In the very short time that came after, a boy named Selwyn who was no older than 15, awoke from this dream, panting heavily.
