Riding out of town, Lilith felt joy for the first time in days. The air of freedom was exhilarating, and she silently vowed never to return to the pack house, even if it meant dying in the process.
She rode for several hours until her horse suddenly halted and refused to go any further. With a reluctant sigh, she dismounted and looked around for a place to camp for the night. She would continue her journey in the morning. The human country was the closest country to the Lycan's country, and from what she had heard, it was far more advanced. Almost everyone in the human world owned a car, and she could likely find a decent job there. Unlike the Lycan realm, where only the elite had cars and many still relied on horses.
"That's an inn! I found us a place to rest, White," she said, pointing toward a small inn by the roadside as she gently stroked the horse she had named White.
Upon reaching the inn, she saw a little girl sweeping the yard and approached her.
