Propping himself up, Lu Bu looked at her in confusion. "Without those pills, won't your combat strength still be affected by the Heaven Swallowing Python? Are you planning to stay in this state forever?"
"It depends on the situation," Medusa replied, rolling her eyes. "When fighting you, yes. The Heaven Swallowing Python fears I might harm you, so it tries to suppress me."
"Really?" Lu Bu blinked, realizing he didn't know as much about Medusa and the Heaven Swallowing Python's dynamic as he thought.
Medusa nodded, her tone tinged with frustration. "Until it understood that your strength was on par with mine, it kept trying to suppress my awakening."
"But against enemies, that's not the case. Since we're one entity, it fights alongside me with its full strength."
"So… the real reason you wanted those pills was to get rid of me?" Lu Bu asked, finally piecing it together. Her combat abilities weren't hindered in battles only when facing him did the suppression occur.
Medusa nodded again, hugging his neck tightly and smiling faintly. Now, she no longer felt the need for such pills there was no longer a reason to keep him at arm's length.
"So… you're just going to stay in this state?" Lu Bu asked, dumbfounded. "One moment a snake, the next a person?"
"Why not?" Medusa huffed. "This way, I can always stay close to you. Let's see if you dare bring in any more 'sisters' while I'm around!"

"Maintaining this state isn't so bad," she said softly, wrapping her arms around his neck and leaning closer. Her voice became a sultry whisper as she murmured into his ear:
"Don't you think so… my dear master~?"
The seductive tone sent a shiver down Lu Bu's spine, and his body instantly responded.
"Hiss damn it!" he growled, his Nirvana Golden Body flaring up again.
Medusa covered her mouth, giggling behind her hand. Her husband was just too… dedicated to his training.
