Felix opened the door, dragging his feet as he walked into his room. His backpack was thrown over his back, still a bit heavy, even though his water bottles had been fully emptied. That was, of course, because it contained an adult male fox shifter. But Felix didn't think about that at the moment. He just closed the door with a sigh…
And almost instantly, he heard knocking coming from the inner door.
It was as if Kade had been waiting right by it for Felix to come back.
Felix hesitated for a moment, considering the possibilities. After enduring the tournament and the afterparty, he didn't really want to deal with any more social interactions, not to mention, he had a few questions he wanted to ask Remi… But after giving it a thought, he came to the conclusion that it would be faster to open the door, exchange a few words, and then say goodnight to Kade, than to have him knock on the door several times, waiting for an answer.
