No mark of a name could be seen on the gates of the city.
Only vines.
And silence.
Lucian set off first, crossing through the broken area. He barely had energy left, but he kept running steadily. Behind them, Serakha and Arden moved forward, followed by all of the others with care.
The path was broken in many places, yet it connected the buildings. Some were hollow shells. Some wooden doors remained, ready for someone to step through them.
Trees were planted along the streets these days. I'm not sitting above the city and forest, but crossing between them, like they share the same language.
"Do you feel it?" Serakha quietly said, hardly raising her voice.
Lucian nodded. "This place is dreaming."
They stayed a bit back to avoid waking the sleeping animal.
