Chapter 108 - The Ship in the Sand

Grains of sand were carried about by the wind over the open area. It produced a faint, low noise, almost as if someone was trying to recollect a familiar old voice.

 

As Lucian took steps forward, the crystal he carried seemed to glow, illuminated by the sun rising in the sky. Those who had decided to leave were followed by Serakha, Arden, and many more behind them. You could tell people had walked by because of the soft tracks they left in the sand.

 

Since they first left the forest, they had been walking for two days. Night after night, they set up camp side by side, using the same food and sharing everything close to their hearts. They started their day by looking for any signs. But the directional signs gave us an answer.

 

"Is that all?" asked one of the children, blocking the sun with their hands.
