Chapter 110 - alphas

POV: Viktor Beaumont

The Alphas jumped to their feet, giving orders to their Betas.

"We need to evacuate," Alpha Reina said. "Get our packs to safety."

"Run now, and The Mother wins," I replied. "She's counting on us being divided."

"Easy for you to say," Reina snapped. "You have no pack to protect."

The words stung, but I didn't let it show. She was right. I'd lost my pack years ago, when my brother took my place as Alpha and banned me. My own fault, for trusting the wrong people.

"I may not have a pack," I said softly, "but I still have family. Elias is gathering forces at the Blood Moon area. If we join him, we might stand a chance."

"Elias?" Alpha Tomas frowned. "But I heard he stepped down as Alpha."

This was news to me. "When?"

"A week ago," Tomas said. "Word spreads fast among Alphas. He gave up his title to be with his real mate—some girl from the Blood Moon Pack."

Amara Kings. The girl who'd turned my nephew's world upside down.
