Chapter 249 - chapter 49

Hamar's body trembled, not because of fear but as a part of the tribulation. Even after cultivating for how long he has been, his body reformation had not yet finished.

Most of the laws which make up his body were the World's and could be stimulated by the tribulation; luckily, enough of himself was made of his own aura last that he could still move.

The vampire vanished in a flash and appeared behind Hamar and he blocked it with his right hand, though as soon as it entered a radius around the vampire, his arm ripped itself off the bone.

Hamar stared as flesh and sinew, blood and hair all moved on their own; his arm ripped out of his skin, leaving only his bones and skin intact. The blood pulled out of his body and swirled around the vampire.

He sucked in and drank the blood, smirking crazily. Then as he tried to teleport, but then the space around the vampire shook. His body shifted for a moment before halting, the world had started it's own attack!

Hamar squinted his eyes while he used fire laws which he could slowly take from his connection to Hou to cauterise his right arm.

"I can barely take out the fire laws, the connection is weakening further..." Hamar looked back, to Yan's lifeless body.

He felt his heart beat faster until he calmed himself, "It's okay...remember what you were told" Hamar closed his eyes and recalled a conversation he had with Yan a few weeks ago.

He recalled that even if she were to die to not worry, just guard what remains of her and she'll be fine. He had thought it to be an impossible scenario that she would be dead and he alive; but still nodded and took in the information as important. Back in the present, he bit his lips and turned his back to the angered vampire.

"Just because I can't teleport, don't think you can run!" The vampire turned into a wisp of smoke and followed behind Hamar.

His speed was much faster than Hamar's and so Hamar looked back and into the sky. He saw the skies growing darker and stopped mid-air.

"It's this or...This is the only option."

He was only a short distance to Yan but he stopped going over to her corpse and turned to face the vampire head on. As the vampire got closer, his face distorted and became more and more monstrous.

Hamar looked up at the sky and just before the vampire would reach him, he took a deep breath, "One chance. Let's hope you were right...no, let's hope we were both right in our decision, Yan."

Hamar pierced his own stomach and broke apart the rest of his body, the parts whose laws he had not yet replaced.

His blood, flesh and since all burst in a glorious light and spare reserves of aura broke into action. Hamar's consciousness took on a huge strain.

Suddenly the vampire who had come to kill him also froze mid air. The sky had come to a climax and huge purple lightning shot down, piercing through the vampire's measly defences.

The lightning then arced from the vampire and into Hamar. What he had done is start his final body reformation which according to the knowledge he got from Hou would invite another tribulation.

He had saw that the technique the vampire used also incited tribulation and by inviting his own, the vampire's tribulation would speed up.

If he couldn't fight the vampire himself, he would have to use the world against him. Luckily, his body had already been reformed partially and so he could sustain himself within the tribulation lightning.

In fact, he was using that lightning in his own benefit, using it the help destroy the laws he was made off and comprehend them, replicating them in aura from.

Hamar felt his consciousness zap and crackle, as he fought against the purple lightning which continued to pour down, he felt something rumble within him.

However, in the state he was in even thinking too hard would distract him. He needed to put all of his attention on the laws his body was made off. Not only his body, that was the most surface level thing he needed to construct.

The main challenge was when his soul shattered and he needed to observe even that, he needed to replicate it perfectly with his own aura rather than the worlds refined mana.

"Aghhhhhh!" He screamed as his consciousness was on the verge of destruction.

In Nine Clouds Sovereign Sect,

Mo Huai and Qi Lan sat within a room sipping on tea. That was until...

Qi Lan stood up suddenly and grimaced, she cracked her neck and slammed down her tea cup. Cracking her knuckles she patted Mo Haui on the shoulder, "Get up, it seems my disciple was right,"

Mo Huai looked up and sighed, "That disciple of mine...it was a good idea sending yours to watch over. If it was anyone else we wouldn't have been ready to come."

Qi Lan chuckled, "Your disciple reminds me a bit of you, both of them really. It reminds me of that time you snuck off-"

Mo Huai covered her mouth, "No need to embarrass me now. Let's just go and save my disciple, maybe scold him for going without telling us...And I'll thank your disciple for secretly informing us too."

Qi Lan nodded, then she closed her eye. And within her Spirit Stone Soul thousands of different laws of huge amounts spun around and flew out.

They followed a line of her mental energy and each law followed a specific line. As she opened her eyes a line of space grew until it swiped over Qi Lan and Mo Huai.

The space around them transformed, and they went from inside to outside. From Nine Clouds Sovereign Sect to outside the North Fog in a specific forest.

They let out huge waves of laws which in an instant destroyed any animal or object in their way. They looked up and expected something dangerous but instead they saw something peculiar.

Hamar had white hair rather than his usual dark brown. And the air floated upwards regardless of gravity.

Around him, blood and viscera floated. He squeezed his fists and the viscera vanished, replaced by bursts of light like stars.

Before Mo Huai and Qi Lan arrived, inside Hamar's consciousness.

"Don't think I died, just like that."

Hamar froze, his body began vanishing as laws broke apart, he stopped replacing them with aura laws. He heard a voice he had thought was gone in the form that he could hear.

Hou's voice spoke again, "Didn't I say? The Nascent Soul can recover from the smallest portion. I was made from a portion of the main soul, I grew as a dragon, I was absorbed by Yi Sect's machinations. But that doesn't mean I was gone yet, just recovering."
