'Its just as I thought' William said to himself, 'Experts from Yi Sect would occasionally enter, using this tunnel as a transport grid. This meant they had little suspicion to new people, assuming them to be friends. Especially if I enter so boldly.'
William eyed the army below, it's numbers seemingly endless, "Which sector?"
The Yi Sect member had hair growing all over his kin, presumably a fault in his cultivation pathway, chuckled lightly. He explained, "we are the second wave of reserves ready for the warfront, sector B close to the vampires."
"And you are?" he prodded, goading the enemy into giving away information.
"Ah yes, I am Leader of the mutant front, Hairman!"
William looked down upon him with a scent of disgust, all apart of his act, "Yes I have hear dog you fellow brother has mentioned you."
Visibly Hairman lit up at the mention of 'fellow brother', it got William to think. If he so easily accepted that I spoke to a fellow brother than knew him, he must therefore be strong and have someone directly higher than knows him.
He fleshed out his character and charmed Hairman into allowing him to observe the army, explaining all sorts of aspects as they came up. Who a certain person was, what powers they used, etc.
William memorized them as well as he could before he nodded, "Excellent work Hairman, I'll be on my way again. Though keep in touch, leave any reports in this tunnel entrance and I'll get someone to pick it up."
Hairman nervously agreed and flew back over to the army, shouting a few commands and getting the march to speed up. He looked back up with that fake smile and once he saw William turned, dropped it.
He felt his beating heart, 'Phew! Seniors are scary, I could even detect a hint of cultivation power, he must be someone extreme high up! I shouldn't let senior brother know I talked to someone else with more respect than himself.'
William nodded and re-established contact with the golden needle artifact, carefully using his mental energy as a bridge, "Its heading for somewhere near the vampires and it's a mutant squad, those corrupted by their cultivation to varying degrees."
"Good work, are you going to kill them now?" Earth Di asked while continuing his observation of the inner threads of the formation.
William shook his head, "No, I've infiltrate sit carefully. I pretended to be a Yi Sect expert and now I have someone on that side, the leader of this army, to bring me reports of the battle."
"…"
He continued, "I think it's worth maintaining this charade and having insight into the structure of them than anything else. I already have in depth knowledge about the army from individuals to vague numbers."
Earth Di stopped, overwhelmed, "That's…that's a lot of work, come back and observe the large vein of crystals. You can order the miasma soldier to bring back Leader Miasma too, tell him everything you just learned. He can establish contact outside and tell main command the casualties should decrease."

Moving upwards from underground, going further than the battle itself, further than the elders scheming behind it, sat Hamar.
He opened his eyes and stood up, "No more…" he cracked his neck and rolled his boulders, "Doing what we've done has started to pay off all our little seeds have grown into our causality increasing speedily."
Hou, in the inner true world, felt the causality increase and too proclaimed, "This is good but not enough, we can act ourselves now. Shall we?"
Hamar took a step back, "I didn't think you would be the one to propose that, it's so…forward."
Hou laughed, "Sometimes the best way around isn't some hidden shortcut, it's to go straight forward."
"That is true…" Hamar cracked his knuckles, "I agree! Let's hit one of their experts, I'm thinking somebody level hmmm, uhh, 70? Start low, get higher?"
Hou shook his head, "71+ go for someone that really matters. Make sure to choose someone that is powerful AND influential though, the more damage we do, the better."

Mo Huai swapped places with his Miasma soldier again, before it swapped the miasma soldier threw the golden needle artifact into the air to ensure it didn't swap with him.
Mo Huai stepped forward and caught the needle. He tapped the point with his fingertip, "How is it?" he spoke to Earth Di.
"We've set up out method. I will look deep underground fo more connection points and gain a larger view of the formation, at the same time William will protect me and surfa level observation of the expose crystal."
Mo Huai nodded, "Sounds perfect." he stopped using the thread and looked up at William in front of him, "What else?"
William froze for a moment then shook his head, "I haven't seen so serious in…well forever, I've never seen it." He rubbed his temple then got on topic, "I gained contact with Yi Sect and impersonated a high level elite, gaining information and an 'in'"
"An informant, rather than killing them?"
William nodded, "I believe myself murdering them will cause undue panic which will cause us to have issues while starting our investigation. Hopefully with the informant I can determine useful information that will reduce the casualties though."
Mo Huai nodded, "Wait a moment, I want you to make a report of all the information you found and will get."
He snapped us fingers and switched place with another miasma soldier which simply stood there waiting for a couple of minutes until Mo Huai returned with a pen and paper.
"I know you don't have experience with mental energy enough to create thought packages, take this instead."
He held out the pen and paper, "Just simply inject mental energy while thinking into the pen and it will write a report for you. You will finish it as soon as possible so it can be given to the front lines when done. Though only to those trusted to stay alive, we can't have it fall into the enemy's hands and then figure it you weren't who you pretended to be."
