Chapter 4 - Redemption Is Possible

Charlie's comes rushing up to us with Vaggie as we sit on the sofas, having decided to at least get comfy while we wait.

I take a sip of my coffee, not wanting it to get cold as I wait.

"Slow down. You still havn't told me what we are doing yet." Vaggie tells Charlie in confusion.

"Also, who is this."

"He's a new guest of the hotel. Someone finally decided to join and give redemption a try."

"Wait, really?"

Vaggie looked surprised, like she was seeing the sun rise from the West. Seems even she was struggling to believe that anyone was willing to be saved.

"Hey." Angel waves his hand while scrolling on his phone.

"Charlie had a surprisingly good idea. She used one of the contracts to stop Angel Dust from being able to willingly use drugs or get wasted from alcohol."

"What? You actually used one of the contracts? I thought you'd be more hesitant to using something that interacts with someone's soul."

"Honestly, I didn't either. Now, what did you run off to get Vaggie for, Charlie?"

"Um, right. So you said that you could see a future with enough, material or people relevant to the question asked, righhht?" She says, leaning in with a grin, her holding her hands behind her back.

"Yes, I did say that."

"So, can we look ahead a see if anyone manages to get redeemed. I'm really curious, and the more that I think about it, the more I can't hold myself back from asking."

"...I seem to have missed a lot." Vaggie mutters.

"Let me get this right. Your analysis ability allows you to see the future?"

"And past, yes."

"And past. Isn't that fucking terrifying? No matter what happens, you will also know about it beforehand."

"Not quite. What I see is the most probable future. This all relies on everything happening as it should. Any deviation could cause a different result."

"If that's the case, then won't you have to be careful with any information you share. And any action you take will also need to be carefully considered as you'll always be walking on eggshells to get the future that you want the most?"

*silence*

"Well, that's depressing." Angel states, staring at me like he's seeing something he hadn't before.

"I guess that would be my fate...if I actually looked at my own future."

"Wait, you havn't?"

"No, I take things as they come. Why would I care what is in store for myself when I'm already one of the strongest beings in hell? I'd rather use it to see what embarrassing situations my fellow residents of hell will get there selves into next."

"Anywayyy, I'd like to check if anyone got redeemed with the hotel and current residents as focused points."

"As you wish."

I activate my Allsight, causing my eye to glow as sign that I'm using my power, and take a peak at what will come.

A bright yellow light fills what looks to be a large meeting room made of marble, only to disappear as quickly as it came, leaving behind five shadow people that seem to be looking around in bewilderment.

Sitting on the chairs in the room were two angels, one looking gobsmacked and another holding her hands to her mouth squealing in excitement.

"Not...possible." The former whispers.

"Huh." Even I am surprised by what I just saw. I honestly wasn't expecting to see anything tangible, much less useful.

'This must be because I already knew that someone would be redeemed, and where they'd end up.'

"Well, what did you see?" Vaggie asks, watching me as I get over my shock.

"I believe congratulations are in order for doing the impossible." I reply with a soft smile, as I take another sip from my coffee.

Everyone jumps in surprise, while Charlie dances around yelling about how she knew it could be done.

Vaggie watches her do this with a content smile on her face, knowing how much this means to her.

Angel just stares at me in shock, not believing what he just heard. A chance had finally presented itself, a wya out of his life of misery.

'Can I really escape the clutches of Valentino... Do I actually have the chance of living, not just surviving?' He thought, allowing himself just a moment of hope.

"Well, now you know that sinners can be redeemed, are you going to treat your time here at this hotel seriously Angel?"

I give Angel a knowing smile, as he stutters trying to come up with a real response. His entire world view had just been flipped on its head, and it was too much to process all at once.

"Don't worry, you'll know when you are ready. Just do what I do and take things as them. When you are ready to take your shot, everyone will be here to help you on your way."

Angel stopped frying his brain trying to come up with a response, letting out a slow breath.

"Thanks."

Getting up from my seat I make my way towards the doors once again to attempt to take a stroll through hell. Despite having come up with an idea for what I could do to up my offensive abilities against Angels, I wanted something I could create in the short term.

"Well then, now that you've got what you wanted, I'll be on my way. I still need to take a walk through hell for more short term ways to combat the upcoming purge."

"Alright, Dante. See you later, try not to get in trouble!"

"Trouble? Me? Perish the thought, I'm so pure, honest."

I chuckle at my joke as I make my out of the hotel, this time unimpeded.

"Wait, did he just say he's looking for a wya to fight the angels in the next purge?" Vaggie asks.

"Uhh, I think so. I mean, he's just looking for a way to fight them, not kill them, right? He's already strong as is."

"Yeah, hahaha. I'm sure that's it." l

They chuckle nervously, completely unaware at just whathow powerful Dante would soon become.
