Year: 980 (Earth Year) [2 Years Ago, When Astrid is 14 Years Old]
Place: Asgard
[A/N: Astrid is 2 years younger than Loki and Thor.]

I showered after coming back from training. My mothers are the ones training me. Normally it should have been my father, but he is training my cousins Loki and Thor. He promised Grandfather to train them, so even though he wanted to train me, he couldn't.
He doesn't want me to marry some guy he doesn't approve of because they defeated me in a duel, so he ordered my mothers to train me. But my moms are hiding from Father that they want me to marry before I awaken my divinities.
Why? I don't know. But they seem determined to make sure I am married before I awaken them.
I wanted to bring this up with my father, and today was the last strawβonce again, they tried to keep me from training. Eventually, they relented and summoned me to their room to explain their reasoning.
They didn't want anyone else to hear what they had to say to me, not even maids or guards. After showering, I got dressed and headed to my parents' room.
As I opened the door and stepped inside, I immediately sensed runes placed all around the room, ensuring that no sound could escape and that no one outside could listen to our conversation.
Inside, I saw my mothers sitting on the bed. "Come, sit between us," they said.
After I sat down between them, we stayed in silence for a minute. "Okay, what is happening? Tell me already!" I said.
I don't want to become some guy's possession, someone to be bent and fucked. I want to become a great warrior, one of the strongest, like Aunt Hela.
"Okay, when you were born, All-Father was there too. He found out that you have the divinities of Fighting, Motherhood, and Marriage, so he told us."
"Normally he wouldn't have said anything, so we asked why he told us this."
My mothers began to explain. 'So I will awaken divinities of Fighting, Motherhood, and Marriage. I can understand now why they don't want to train me much. In the end, I'll have to marry someone strong to be powerful.'
"He told us that all of your divinities are high divinities, so you need to marry to fully awaken them before the awakening ceremony. Otherwise, you can't awaken any of them."
"Your father, hearing this, was very angry that his little girl had to marry when she was so young. So he tried to find ways for you to awaken your divinities."
"After four years, he found out All-Father has something that could help you awaken your divinities without having to marry. But All-Father said that he has to give it to Loki when he awakens his divinities."
"Loki, too, was born with high divinities, so All-Father wanted to give whatever that thing is to him, and your fatherβ¦"
I interrupted, "My father wouldn't listen to Grandfather, so he tried to steal it, right?"
They sighed. "Yes. So he sealed his memories. His memories of learning about your divinities, his attempts to find a way to help you, and his discovery that the way to help you was in All-Father's hands," my mother said.
"Then why don't you train me? If you told me this, I would have found someone myself while also training to be strong," I asked.
"Because it wouldn't matter. If your husband is strong, you would be almost as strong as him (50%) [A/N: This % was previously %90 but I changed it to %50] when you fully awaken your divinity."
"And you can also use the divinity of your husband if he has one and allows you to wield it. That's why we didn't want to train you and kept telling you all those nonsense excuses. If we trained you ourselves, we would be wasting your potential because we only know how to fight using our own divinities."
"Once you mastered the basics -which you did in the first week- we stopped training you for this exact reason," my mother and her sister-wife told me.
"Sigh I understand," I said with a sigh and hugged them. "I need time, Mother." "Time to think."
They kissed my forehead and let me go to my room. Once there, I began to think about what I should do. Should I marry someone, or should I not? But what I do know is that I have to marry a god like me. I won't marry a lower being.
That was my thought as I drifted to sleep.
---1 Year Later
Today, I am sitting with my mother and her sister-wife as they search for gods who are worthy of marrying me.
A few days after they revealed the truth to me, I made my choiceβI would marry, but only to a god. And not just any godβhe had to be strong and not much older than me.
They were happy that I had chosen to marry, so they began their search. However, no matter how hard they looked, they couldn't find anyone suitableβexcept for my cousins, Loki and Thor.
Every other candidate they found was either too weak due to their age or strong but far too old for my liking.
"There is nobody else, Astrid. You have to choose between Loki and Thor," my mother said.
"Hmm, then I should first find out about their character. I don't want to choose without knowing them," I said.
Mother and her sister-wife nodded. After today, I will send maids to spy on them to learn more about their characteristics. I couldn't go myself because Father's divine sense is always locked on me. If I spied on Loki and Thor, he would want to know why, and he might remember his sealed memories.
---1 Year Later, The Day of the War
During this year, I learned much about Loki and Thor. And I can say 100% that I do not want to marry Thor.
He is irresponsible and thinks himself above others simply because he is a prince. He sees women as nothing more than breedable stock and has even slept with a few maids but that's not the real issue. The problem is that he did it in front of their husbands and children, making himself despised among the lower beings and receiving less faith.
On top of that, he constantly seeks out fights, regardless of who his opponent is. This reckless behavior is dangerous because if he were to accidentally kill someone from another realm, it could ignite a war.
What makes it even worse is that he can't fully control his divine energy or divinities. He only knows how to fight with his fists. And above all, if I were to marry him, he wouldn't respect me as his wife.
Whereas Loki is almost the complete opposite of Thor. He is responsible and doesn't see women as breedable stock. In fact, he has only slept with one person, which is good because it shows he has standards.
Loki doesn't enjoy fighting much, but he'll fight if challenged. He has such remarkable control over his divine energy that it's almost surprising. And his newly awakened divinity is a High Divinity, just like mine.
From what I can tell, he would respect me as his wife. I can see it in how he treats Sif. Even though she wasn't happy at first when Loki claimed her, over time, she became genuinely happy being with him. This shows that he makes her happy and, most importantly, respects her.
Sif even carries his first child. It's good to know that he wants children.
Right now, I am walking toward his room to speak with him. I am bored because I can't get out of the palace because of the war, my parents worry I would be harmed. And now that Father is not in Asgard, it is the perfect time to speak with Loki.
I want to tell him I want to marry him. Any other day, Father would interrupt us. After telling him, if he agrees, I will ask Grandfather to unlock Father's sealed memories.
I knocked on his door and went inside. He looked at me with surprise. "Astrid? Why are you here?" he asked.
"I'm bored, and there are some things I want to talk to you about."
