"Why don't we break the wall and check what's on the other side?" Lucas suggested, rendering everyone speechless.
But they didn't reject his suggestion, for that was the only way they had to find out what lay on the other side.
Ryker brought a few hammers while Vance returned with a chainsaw. They didn't know what the wall was made of. It looked like wood, but not quite at the same time.
Ryker and Lucas each took a hammer and tried to knock down the wall. To their surprise, however, the hammer rebounded with such force that it almost slipped from their hands.
Glancing at each other in astonishment, they tried again, only to meet the same result. The hammer had no effect on the wall.
Baffled by the turn of events, Vance tried to use to chainsaw to cut through the wall. However, it was as if the wall was impenetrable. They couldn't even scratch it, let alone make a small cut.
"What the hell, man? What kind of a wall is this?" Ryker exclaimed, eying it with twinkling eyes.
