Raigor stepped into Limbo, feeling a chill seeping into his bones. The Ferryman had led him there, but now he was alone.
An unreal landscape stretched out before him: a sea of fog suspended in nothingness, where souls wandered aimlessly. The fragment of Veran's soul shone in his hands, pulsing like a heart waiting to beat again.
But he was not alone.
From the depths of Limbo, a deep growl shook the air itself.
The Legendary Beast – The Chained Wolf
Raigor advanced cautiously, following the call of the fragment. And there he saw it.
A colossus of pure ferocity, chained to a huge black pillar. A wolf of titanic size, whose silver fur shone like the moon itself. His red eyes were filled with hatred and age-old wisdom.
The Plague, the Legendary Wolf.
Raigor felt his heart race. He had heard the legends. Once, the Wolf, the Lion, and the Dragon were the three guardians of the world. But the Wolf had been betrayed and chained, banished to Limbo like a cursed beast.
And now, the fragment of Veran's soul was beside him.
"Warrior..." the Wolf's voice was like a low thunder. "If you want the fragment, you must free me."
Raigor gritted his teeth. He knew that freeing such a being could lead to unpredictable consequences.
But he had no choice.
The Clash with the Chains of Fate
Raigor grabbed his blade and threw himself against the black chains. As his weapon touched the metal, Limbo trembled.
From the shadows emerged Guardians of Limbo, faceless beings, shrouded in spectral cloaks. They could not allow the Wolf to be freed.
"Do not challenge the order of the world, mortal!" they whispered in unison.
Raigor did not hesitate. If he wanted to save Veran, he had to fight.
The battle was fierce. The Guardians' blades grazed his skin several times, but the power of the Golden Lion protected him. With a roar that shook all of Limbo, he felled the last enemy and with a final blow broke the Wolf's chains.
A howl filled the air, and the Beast was finally free.
The Wolf stared at Raigor for a long moment, then bowed his head in respect.
"You have the heart of a true warrior."
From his jaws he dropped the fragment of Veran's soul.
Veran's Return
Raigor grabbed the fragment and joined it with the other three. Light exploded around him, and Limbo dissolved.
When he opened his eyes, Veran was there, on his knees, breathing heavily.
Raigor approached. After a long time, his companion had returned.
But something in him had changed. A different light shone in his eyes.
And behind them, the Legendary Wolf watched, with an enigmatic smile.
