Chapter 3 - Chapter 3 - A long way to Freedom

It had been about a day since Phinx had met Commander Salem but it felt as if he knew him his whole life. As they walking to Agnix, Phinx then asked the man he had just met.

"Why did you save me?Am I of any value to your mission?"

The man replied, "Yes, but not in the way you expect."

"What do you mean?" Questioned Phinx

"Well you see, my mission as I am expecting yours to be also, is to free my people, Yes your people from the hands of the legion of fear."

"Why do you expect me?"

"Because who in this nation would give themself into captivity, in order to save his own town like you."

Phinx questioned how Commander Salem knew about this. Only his town should have known about this matter.

"Are you from my town? If is so pardon me?"

"No I am not." Said the Commander

"Then where have you received this knowledge?" Asked Phinx

"A little birdie told me." Said the commander while hinting a smile.

Phinx had stopped his interrogation knowing the Commander wouldn't tell him anything else. He sighed and moved on from that subject.

"So what is our plan of action?"

Commander Salem replied, "Our first step will be to your home town, Agnix."

"Are you serious?" Asked Phinx with concern, after all he hasn't been there in a year.

"Yes.We are going to bring in the lost of Agnix." Replied the Commander

"The lost?"

"Those who have given up on freedom, a long time ago, those whose hope has diminished over time and to those who are held captive by Fear…Our people!" Replied the Commander excitedly

"Okay, but how?" Asked Phinx

"By starting of small, freedom is far from now but it is not out of reach.Freedom always starts with one step."

The Commander stopped walking and looked at Phinx and said while laughing.

"Now…let us take that step!"

The words of Commander Salem had touched Phinx.
