Chapter 156: The Fire Spirit Serpent King's Desperate Will to Survive
At that moment, one of the Fire Spirit Serpent King's two massive heads was radiating submission, while the other glowed with pure rage.
Wu Tian, still hovering in mid air, immediately recognized the issue Qing Lin's strength was still too weak.

And the entire Twin Headed Fire Spirit Serpent collapsed, unconscious.
Wu Tian dusted off his hands. "You should be grateful I'm letting Qing Lin tame you. Otherwise, I'd have killed you already."
Nearby, the smaller Fire Spirit Serpent blinked, staring at its unconscious uncle before shifting its fearful gaze to Wu Tian
And then, without hesitation, it flopped onto its side and pretended to faint.
Wu Tian: "..."
Qing Lin hadn't fainted from injury just exhaustion.
Wu Tian gently lifted her into his arms, then took out a healing pill and placed it in her mouth.
"Mmm…"
Moments later, Qing Lin's eyelashes fluttered, and she slowly regained consciousness.
She rubbed her temples, blinking up at Wu Tian's face.
The moment she realized she was in his arms, her face flushed bright red.
Softly, she whispered, "Wu Tian gege… did I succeed?"
Wu Tian smiled. "You could say that."
He turned and nudged the smaller serpent with his foot.
"Oi, Little Fire stop playing dead."
The small Fire Spirit Serpent winced, opening its huge golden eyes and cautiously glancing at Wu Tian.
Then, it turned its head toward Qing Lin, its gaze full of submission.
It was connected to her through the contract.
Meanwhile, it looked at Wu Tian with absolute terror
Because it knew this man could kill it at any time.
"Hehe~ You're much friendlier now."
Qing Lin beamed as she got to her feet.
"I was thinking of naming you 'Little Ling'… but since Wu Tian gege calls you 'Little Fire', that will be your name from now on!"
The small serpent blinked, seemingly pleased with the name.
(Though deep down, who knew what it truly felt?)
Suddenly, Qing Lin noticed the unconscious Fire Spirit Serpent King.
Her eyes widened in surprise.
"Wu Tian gege, why is the Fire Spirit Serpent King just lying there?"
Wu Tian gave a casual smile.
"Oh~ It's sleeping."
The smaller serpent blinked then, as if understanding Wu Tian's intentions, it flopped onto its side and "fainted" again.
"I'll wake it up now."
Wu Tian vanished from sight
And reappeared beside the Fire Spirit Serpent King
stomping down on its skull.
"BANG!"
The serpent's head shot into the air, before slamming back into the ground.
"THUD!"
"ROOOAAAARRR!!!"
The Fire Spirit Serpent King roared, its massive eyes opening wide.
But before it could react
"BANG!"
Wu Tian stomped it again.
One of its heads slumped into unconsciousness.
The other head's eye twitched violently, but it immediately turned submissive.
Wu Tian glanced at Qing Lin.
"See? Right now, only one of its heads is under your control."
"You'll need to use your power one more time to fully tame it."
Qing Lin blinked, taking in Wu Tian's explanation.
Meanwhile, the smaller serpent, still pretending to be unconscious, peeked an eye open
And immediately gulped in fear.
"Your luck is out of my hands now, Uncle… may the heavens protect you."
Qing Lin, however, beamed brightly.
"Wu Tian gege, you're so gentle!"
"You even let the Fire Spirit Serpent King knock you out just to explain things to me!"
Wu Tian: "..."

Qing Lin happily wrapped her arms around him.
"Thank you, Wu Tian gege!"
While she rested, Wu Tian summoned Bone Spirit Cold Fire, manipulating its low temperature to cool her down.

Qing Lin froze in place as the sudden cool breeze enveloped her.

"A tent?"

And froze completely.
Qing Lin was half dressed.
She had been changing, her back turned toward him

Her movements slow, delicate, and incredibly… enticing.

His brain shut down.
Then, in an instant, he yanked his head back out of the tent
His face burning red.
Inside the tent, Qing Lin's eyes curved into crescent moons as she giggled softly.
"Bad gege~"
"You made it cool inside, and now you walk in while I'm changing~"
Moments later
"BANG!"
Wu Tian delivered another kick to the Fire Spirit Serpent King's head.
At this point, its entire skull was covered in massive lumps.
Its eye barely cracked open.
Wu Tian sighed. "Oops. I was supposed to fight you, not beat you unconscious."
"BANG!"
Another kick, and the other head flopped down.
Yet, when the serpent king regained consciousness, its two eyes showed nothing but submission.
Even though Qing Lin had failed to tame it completely, Wu Tian's "training" had finished the job.
The Fire Spirit Serpent King's will to survive was simply too strong.
Wu Tian smirked.
"Looks like you finally understand."
"Fine. I'll let you live."
He stepped toward the tent.
"Qing Lin, it's awake. Are you ready?"
Inside, Qing Lin's gentle voice responded.
"Mmm~ Wu Tian gege~"
Outside, Wu Tian: "..."
