He then seemed to remember something. "Oh, that's right. My poison won't have a fatal effect on you. It'll just make you dizzy and easier for me to capture." He then smiled slightly at Torifu. "After all, you're so strong, you wouldn't mind a little bit of poison, would you?"
No wonder. Torifu had felt a little drowsy and light-headed since the beginning. He had thought it was just because of the physical exhaustion from the battle, but he didn't expect it to be caused by Rain's poison. But it would be more appropriate to call it an anesthetic.
From an angle Torifu couldn't see, Rain subtly wiggled a finger, then nonchalantly said to Torifu, "Why don't you just come back with me? It'll save you a lot of trouble."
Torifu scoffed disdainfully. "Go back to be a vessel for the master you speak of? Sorry, but I'll say it again: I'm not tired of living yet!" He then gathered his wits and flew quickly toward Rain! Just as he was about to reach him, Rain suddenly brought his hands together and let out a piercing shriek. Torifu had no time to block it and was directly hit by the sound wave. His mind immediately went blank.
He didn't expect this damned guy to use this trick again! But this time, it seemed to be a pure sound wave attack, as Torifu didn't hear any whispers in his ear.
"Crystal Release: Wall of Shields!"
Torifu endured the excruciating pain in his skull and unleashed the jutsu. Several crystal shields surrounded Torifu, protecting him firmly. Rain's repeated claw attacks only managed to crack one of the shields. The sound wave had impacted Torifu's mind, and with the poison in his body, Torifu was now incredibly groggy and felt like he couldn't keep his eyes open.
Just then, Aokumo and Ryūfū's voices rang in his mind. "Torifu, don't fall asleep! Hurry and heal your wounds! The enemy hasn't been dealt with, and your friends haven't been saved yet!"
Although they were shouting with all their might, Torifu could barely hear their voices. But it was this faint voice that allowed Torifu, who was already struggling to resist, to grab onto a lifeline.
'That's right. The enemy hasn't been killed yet, my companions haven't been saved, and I haven't even started my peaceful life yet!'
Torifu's blurry consciousness continuously motivated him. As his consciousness became clearer, he could hear Aokumo and Ryūfū's voices getting louder. After thanking them, Torifu opened the system store and bought an item that could heal mental wounds. He ate it, and his mind instantly became clear. The pain also completely vanished. However, because the poison was still in his blood, the feeling of drowsiness and grogginess still lingered.
But he was now able to fight. He just needed to be on his toes and use his strongest jutsu to kill Rain in one go! Rain was in disbelief when he saw Torifu wake up from his grogginess. He stopped clawing at the shield and quickly retreated. Torifu looked at the marks on the shield. Two of the crystal shields had been completely shattered. Rain's claws were truly hard.
"Damn it! Can't you just let me take you back willingly!"
Torifu shook his head. "Sorry, but your plan is destined to fail. And you're not going back today. I'm going to leave you here."
Rain's smile widened. "Alright! Then let's see how you're going to keep me here!"
Rain leaped into the sea! He jumped in and out of the water like a dolphin, moving incredibly fast. Each time he landed in the water, he created a huge splash and shot straight toward Torifu! As he was about to reach Torifu, a massive stream of water suddenly gathered around him! It then turned into a sharp-toothed fish of an unknown species and lunged at Torifu!
Torifu still had many un-shattered shields on him, so he controlled them to block the attack. But Torifu had underestimated the damage of this attack. The moment the two clashed, the shields began to shatter rapidly. Torifu continuously repaired them with his chakra, and he finally managed to counter Rain's jutsu just as the last shield shattered.
But the seawater that fell into the ocean didn't disappear. It turned back into several small fish and quietly leaped out of the water, barely making a splash. Torifu's attention was completely focused on Rain. Because of the poison in his body, he couldn't afford to lose focus, or the drowsiness would take over. Rain was using this to his advantage. The small fish directly stabbed Torifu. Their sharp snouts almost went straight through Torifu! But this caused a significant amount of damage to Torifu. After hitting him, they immediately turned into seawater and completely disappeared.
"It looks like my poison is working well. You didn't even notice that attack."
Torifu clutched his chest. The organs inside were in excruciating pain from being pierced! Without hesitation, he immediately used his strongest healing jutsu to treat his wounds. Thankfully, the piercing wounds weren't very big; they were thinner than his pinky finger. Even though it was difficult to heal because of the curse, it was enough for him to continue fighting. He didn't have time to heal completely.
Seeing that his attack had succeeded, Rain was ready to do it again and continued to leap toward Torifu! But Torifu didn't give him a second chance. He flapped his wings and flew toward him! Then, boundless cloud energy surged from his sleeves, enveloping Rain and shooting him up into the sky! As Torifu's chakra was consumed at a frantic rate, he pulled the dense dark clouds in the sky, gathering them toward Rain! But because of the large movements, the wounds that had just barely healed tore open again, and black blood flowed out! But Torifu didn't care at all!
The sunlight finally shone on the sea. Torifu's white robe had become filthy from the battle. It was covered in red and black blood and looked very tattered. The dark clouds in the sky all gathered around Rain, forming a black cloud orb! With a hard pull from Torifu's hand, the cloud orb quickly fell and exploded on the surface of the sea! The immense cloud energy covered half of the sea where Torifu was, like a sea of clouds! But the dissipated cloud energy instantly shrank back, returning to Rain and turning into chains and spikes! They pierced his tail and hands, locking him in place!
Torifu then leaped into the air. Countless transparent diamond-shaped crystals appeared next to his head, feet, and arms! They sparkled under the sunlight. Then, a larger and purer crystal appeared on his chest! All the crystals around him changed direction! They all reflected the sunlight onto the massive crystal on Torifu's chest! The crystal instantly became incredibly dazzling. Just a single glance was enough to turn a person's vision white!
A fatal amount of energy gathered within it! As the crystal's light became brighter, its temperature also became hotter! Torifu aimed it at Rain, who was locked on the surface of the sea.
