"I sensed your chakra a long time ago, Ashina. It's been so many years, but you don't look like you've changed at all."
Tobirama walked up to Ashina and gave him a hug. Ashina found it strange that even though Tobirama was much younger than him, he shouldn't be this young, right? But he held back his curiosity and didn't ask about it.
"So, how is it, old brother? You being able to come to Konoha means that the Land of Whirlpools has returned to normal, right?"
Ashina laughed heartily and nodded. "That's right, that's right. These kids helped me a lot, especially Torifu. If it wasn't for him, we would have been separated forever."
Tobirama frowned slightly when he heard this. It was just a conflict between a few princes, right? How could it have been so serious? He then looked at Torifu, and Torifu understood what Tobirama meant. He gave Tobirama an overview of all the important parts of the mission after they landed on the island. Tobirama was silent after listening. He didn't expect such a huge mess to have happened, and he wondered about the origin of that ninja named Rain, who was so powerful that he could control the people of an entire country. Even though it was only a few thousand people, it was still an incredible feat! He had never seen such a powerful genjutsu before.
He then sighed. "Phew. It's a good thing you didn't run into any trouble this time. Otherwise, I wouldn't have known how to explain it to your teacher."
Torifu waved his hand indifferently. "It's fine, Tobirama-sama. If I didn't have this experience, I'd probably still be complacent about my own strength."
He was telling the truth. Because Torifu had always had memories of the world of Naruto, his strength was already invincible at this stage. No one could hurt him. But he didn't expect that because of his existence, the world had changed so much. Many things that he didn't know about had appeared. But this also reminded Torifu to not be so arrogant and to continue to increase his strength. He almost failed against a single person named Rain. What would happen if an even stronger person appeared in the future?
"He's right, sensei. We really saw that there are always people stronger than you in this world."
"You've worked hard, kids. I'm clear on the details of the mission. I will record a great service for each of you. This mission will be recorded as three S-rank missions."
Hiruzen and the others immediately smiled when they heard this. Three S-rank mission records were the best thing for them as clan heads. It was especially useful for when they educated the younger generation in their clans or when they wanted to show off the great achievements of the clan leader.
The group chatted in the office for a while longer. Then, Tobirama told Torifu and the others to go home, saying he wanted to catch up with Ashina. Torifu was happy about this. He was the first to rush out of the Hokage's Office. After saying goodbye to Naori, he quickly ran toward the Kumotsuru Clan compound. When he arrived at his front door, he saw a little boy with spiky blond hair crouching on the steps of the clan compound. He was holding a small wooden stick and poking at something on the ground. Torifu's footsteps were light. He walked up to him in a few steps. "What are you doing, Minato? Why aren't you in the yard?"
Minato was stunned when he heard Torifu's voice. He then began to tremble slightly. He didn't look up and immediately hugged Torifu. He seemed to be sobbing a little. "Nii-san, why did it take you so long to come back... It's been half a month."
[T/N: Ah, I remember in many fanfics, Kushina calls him sissy, so that's why!]
Torifu stroked Minato's head. "The situation with the mission was a little complicated, so it was delayed for a few more days." He then picked him up and carried him back into the clan compound.
Snowflake, who was wandering in the yard, looked at Torifu. "You're back?"
"Yeah, I'm back."
Then, Snowflake walked away. After so many years, she had already gotten used to it. But Minato hadn't been in this family for long and was still very dependent on Torifu. Torifu had been gone for half a month. Minato was naturally a little unaccustomed and sad.
Torifu patted Minato on the back. "Alright, alright. I won't be gone for so long next time. Even if I do have a mission, I'll leave a clone at home." Minato nodded and then wiped his eyes with his sleeve. "Have you eaten yet?"
Upon hearing the word "eat," Minato's stomach cooperated by rumbling, which made him a little red-faced. Torifu smiled and then whispered into Minato's ear, "Big brother will take you to eat yakiniku. Just the two of us. We won't bring your second brother."
Upon hearing "yakiniku," Minato was a little tempted, but he also hesitated. Was it really okay not to bring his second brother?
"He's so rich. Let him eat by himself. Today, it's just the two of us. I'm taking you out specifically." Minato was visibly happy. "Alright, let's go, Nii-san."
"Let's go!"
Torifu had been traveling all day, but he went to eat yakiniku with Minato without resting. But he was actually very happy, and his smile couldn't be faked. Torifu genuinely saw Minato as his family, and Minato felt the same way.
Just like that, Torifu and Minato slowly walked to a yakiniku restaurant. The owner immediately came out to greet them when he heard that Torifu had arrived. "Oh, isn't this Torifu and Minato? It's been a while since you've come."
Torifu said with a smile, "I was on a mission for a while. I just got back today, and I'm taking my little brother out to eat yakiniku." The owner was also generous.
"Oh, I see. Then this meal is on me. I'm celebrating your return. Eat whatever you want!"
Torifu also hadn't had yakiniku in a while and was a little craving it. After entering a private room, he ordered almost every type of meat on the menu. Since it was free, he could eat whatever he wanted. Minato was no longer so reserved and pointed at the things he wanted to eat on the menu. In a short while, all the meat was served. Torifu was responsible for grilling, and Minato helped by pouring the meat onto the grill.
"Nii-san, was the mission dangerous?"
Torifu was stunned, then smiled and said in a relaxed tone, "It was just a quarrel between some princes. It ended very easily. It was just a little complicated, but there was no danger."
Minato looked relieved after hearing this. "I see. You're right. What kind of danger could big brother run into with your strength?"
"You understand me well, kid."
Minato scratched his head and chuckled. But what Torifu didn't know was that after his summoning had ended, the exhausted Aokumo and Ryūfū had returned to the clan compound, and Minato had happened to see them. If even the summoning animals were so exhausted, how could the person himself be relaxed? But since Torifu didn't say anything, Minato didn't ask further. He knew that Torifu didn't want him to worry because at his age, there was nothing he could do but worry. To grow up quickly and improve his strength, this was what Minato was thinking right now. As long as he grew up, he could help his big brother.
